Julaftonstur 2015

Me and Nilsson took us to Norway with car this time. Nearest place with snow and a little sense of winter was Budor which is quite close to Lillehammer (the city that held the Winter Olympics 1994). We had a nice tour but it stormed and snowed. It was too little snow for us to take skis ... a really fine tradition!!!
Dedicates this film to my friend Mathias, who died December 20, 2015! Rest in peace!!!

The tradition continues! Infiltrating Norway through the front door this time, that was different but necessary with so little snow. Not as nice as the Varmland, great camp tucked away under the spruce. The full moon that night was amazing, we were enjoying it too over here in Canada, it was like daytime in the middle of the night. We raise our cups to Mathias!

+Canesser Yeah this tradition we'll keep going. Värmland is best but always fun to light a fire in Norway :-)! The moon was magical! Hope to see films from Canada soon. Do you have any wolves where you live? In Värmland there are approximately 200 and in Sweden a total of about 500. Canada 50000 ?! Best regards L-O

+edgrensgatan Old rivalries die hard lol. I will try and get out there and do a video soon, been too long! We have so many wolves they are having a major impact on not only the deer and moose but on lots of pet dogs too. Too many! A year or two ago the government was offering $250/wolf for trappers on registered trap lines they were getting so numerous. Need to keep a balance in nature, sad that Sweden only has 500. Mostly timber wolves, some grays here. I see tracks all the time. A lot of coyotes too. Canada is a massive country with only 35 million people living here, mostly along the southern border with the states. A lot of wilderness!
