Thank you very much to share this easy simple way to work on wire armature for needle felting animals. It is much much easier than majority video. I will give it a try now 😄😄

I love your work, and your tutorials are so helpful. On this wire armature tutorial, I've had my eye on that dachshund next to your pad. I've got to make a dachshund for someone, and wish you had a tutorial for that! I love the way yours looks. Haven't seen any others I like.

@@julesfeltlikeit I was just hoping for a step-by-step process for the doxie. But I think I can wing it. I did make the armature last evening, and I'm hoping the legs won't be too short, or the body too long. I like your technique. Thanks for all your videos! Good luck with the cleaning. :)

Excellent. Thanks for sharing. You really have the vision of anatomy down! I think I need to move to a thinner wire for the armature. I too have grappled with using glue vs not. I was not using any at first, but now tried it a few times. Nice to see how you make all the pieces fit without glue.
@julesfeltlikeit3 жыл бұрын
The trick is to use REALLY long pieces of wool to wrap around the wire so you can extend a little past the end and all the way back again to the anchor.

Interesting technique. I make much larger sculptures, 17" Tall. So I use 12 gauge aluminum wire for the armatures. I'm always looking for shortcuts to speed the process up. So thank you, thank you, again for your insightful videos. You truly have a kindred spirit and I appreciate you being there for all of us.

I love that you are taking the time to talk to me!!! I haven’t had any time to make new videos lately and I want to! Is there anything in particular you’d like to see more of? What about the filming style - more talking? Less speeded up video? More text on the screen? What’s helpful?
@cbviau13322 жыл бұрын
@@julesfeltlikeit Yes, that's a good idea: more text on the screen. That way we can freeze frame (key-k) and take written notes. And it would be good to see more math on the screen: lengths, dimensions, time, etc. Your dogs are outstanding but I don't make those, so that wouldn't apply to me. But building armature does apply to me. And so does wrapping wire and needle felting and making curly locks. (light bulb!@*) I know what I'd like to see you talk about. It's firmness: different degrees of firmness. Do you felt the legs firmer than the tummy? Is it good art if some areas are firmer than others? My flowers and rooster feathers are never as firm as the legs and core body ... You're a really good teacher and you seem to have an innate gift for this type of creativity. So, thank you. Thank you for listening. And now that I have found you, I look forward to viewing more of your videos

Can you tell me the measurements of the wire to make a small dog like yours? My dog turned out to be bigger then I wanted.
@julesfeltlikeit2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I have been kind of winging it when I make the dogs. This is why you see me cutting wire or added to paws. Its very ineffective and I need to do better! I also have had dogs turn out larger than I wanted. I'm right in the middle of a new video where I'm not using any wire except for pipe cleaner legs, and I'm adding them later in my process so I can more easily get the size right. I'll see how that goes!!

Can you help me with getting rid of the fuzz?

I'm so so sorry - I don't know how I missed this comment! You can use an iron (they make very small irons specifically for crafts!) or hair spray or simply trim with scissors to get rid of fuzz!! I would love to know what you ended up doing to get rid of yours!
