Solo player Julia Iskrzycka is a beauty, an awesome violinist. She feels the tragic event, she knows every beat and every note of the play and performs with incredible poise and beauty. Kudos miss Julia for this epic rendering and bravo for the young orchestra for playing this flawless piece of music with such artistic beauty. A true breath-taking performance and a heart felt Meditation indeed . . . Many thanks for posting this wonderful music, it's a magnificent piece of art work.

Resaltar los pizzicatos del bajo que dan entrada al solista y los mismos cerrando la obra, de una interpretación sencillamente exquisita. La dirección maravillosa en su exquisitez y tacto con la orquesta y como no poner un re mayor a todos los miembros sin los cuales no podría disfrutar de este paraíso en la tierra. Un abrazo a todos.

Mais uma obra-prima, uma joia rara da música erudita. Meditação de Thaís é inconfundível na sua melodia, pena que a ópera de um único ato tenha ficado esquecida dada a essa meditação que se elevou às alturas e parece ter rompido sua ligação com o resto da ópera, composta sobre a obra de mesmo nome de Anatole France. Conta-se que, quando da sua estréia no Garnier de Paris, todos os que estavam presentes na platéia choraram a ouvir essa passagem que era um interlúdio entre os atos da ópera. Aqui tocada com extrema sensibilidade pela violinista Julia Iskrzycka e be regida pelo maestro Andrzej Kucybala.

Só uma observação: Thais é uma ópera composta de três atos, e não apenas um ato como comentei abaixo. Desculpem. A ópera de um único ato em referência seria Gianni Schichi de Puccini onde ouvimos a belíssima ária O Mio Babbino Caro.
