Great tutorial, thank you! I'm new to beading so this might be a silly question - do I have to use Delica beads, or can I use round beads in their place?
@JulesRose14 күн бұрын
You can use any good quality 11/0 round beads (eg. Miyuki or Toho) but it won’t look as smooth.

Can use a chop stick to stuff the tips of star
@fifthposition3 ай бұрын
Nice design and tutorial :) Maybe something like Kleenex or paper towels would also be a good stuffing that would avoid the hairs or toy stuffing?
@JulesRose3 ай бұрын
Absolutely! If you’re short on plastic to reuse, that’s a great alternative.

Hey Juliet, nice design, again. WARNING below though… I would like to point out that at this size no stuffing will be needed, the star should be self supporting, even with a looser tension, especially if you use only 5 points instead of 6. Avoiding stuffing is explained below. WARNING: If you are going to hang your star on a tree do not use anything flammable as stuffing, including any type of foam. Obviously because you could burn your tree (and your house) down. If you are going to hang your star anywhere above a heat source do not stuff it with anything plastic. Less obvious is the fact that warm or hot plastic gives off phthalates which can cause cancer. Seriously ladies, be very very very careful. This can attack even female children’s reproductive organs, much less your own. (Yes, get rid of those hot glue guns while you are at it.) I have seen the horror with my own eyes.

Beautiful Star - do you have word file available listing the pattern rows?
@JulesRose3 ай бұрын
Hi, I do not. But the first 2 rows are the 11/0 rounds, each subsequent row has delicas between the 11/0s. Row 9 you skip adding the 4th delica (there are 7), row 10 is the embellishment only on 2 sides.
