see, the problem with these "fights" is, the other guy never fights back, so it makes the other guy look better. I'm not saying this guy isn't good at what he does, but it's not a real fight. it's like these "black belts" here in the u.s. they don't prove their skills in combat. they just do the "moves" at a slow speed, in a shadow boxing kind of way
@АлександрАнисимов-э6д8 жыл бұрын
почему катана используется однообразно как тычковое оужие,вряд ли в бою можно видеть лезвие катаны из за скорости
@ihateliberals5188 жыл бұрын
I think you're watching too many movies. in the u.s., it is just as I said. many, or MOST martial arts schools are a joke. as I said they don't prove their skills in combat. they stand in front of the teacher, go through the moves against NOBODY! and many of these teachers are no where near a "master". almost anyone can be a black belt in this country. there's many, many tens of thousands of Americans CLAIMING to be 1st, 2nd, 3rd degree black belts, and regularly get their asses kicked by some untrained average street fighter. that is just a fact. I myself when I was 15 squared off with a guy that was supposedly 2ND DEGREE BLACK BELT, AND A GREEN BERET. he didn't win. and he didn't get my watch, which is why we fought. and I was NOT a black belt. yes, it's true there some talented, and actually skilled martial artist, but most aren't. most take lessons for about 6 months, then they get to thinking they're Bruce lee. and they get their asses kicked because of it
@keithbannister52837 жыл бұрын
You think wrong. Boxers, kickboxers, and MMA are trained for it. Those guys spar, and spar hard. They know what getting tagged is like and they're not phased by it or can at least deal with it.

How about throwing the sword...? I think that it will take less endurance and training
@nickhashemi35125 жыл бұрын
His Baat Jaam Dao style is not bad. It will have Americans pulling out a gun not knowing at a range of 30 feet they can be reached. I'm sure other Wing Tusn instructors know. I never really comment.

Cool movie fighting.
@BatDeckard11384 жыл бұрын
Oh. and why the hell would you use a reverse grip? That's just nonsense out of the movies. Doing it that way instantly gives you 2 massive disadvantages. Firstly, you reduce your weapon reach by about 12 inches, and secondly, you negate the entire purpose of the guard. Weapons have a crossguard to protect the hand. Reverse grip makes it useless. The only time you would ever use a reverse grip in actual combat is if it was a last ditch effort to retrieve your weapon or if you were caught unaware. Historically, that grip was almost never used in battle.

То есть нападающий предсказуемо нападает а затем еще и ждет пока на нем не продемонстрируют определенный прием... ну нормальная тренировка..

@rhmayer17 жыл бұрын
Very well practiced, impressive. But not really practical in the real world, since people don't generally carry around 2 butterfly swords (or even 1). But that may not be of primary importance. (You can say the same for just about all weapon-style martial arts.) It's still a good and interesting martial art. I love watching the different martial arts from around the world. Thanks for posting!
@edwardsarhuda25953 жыл бұрын
Yes indeed.but it does look very impresive tho
@kianbautista10163 жыл бұрын
Yeah, you can apply the butterfly sword form with anything like a pair of slippers or a pair of sticks, really anything with about the same length as a butterfly sword.
@rhmayer13 жыл бұрын
@@kianbautista1016 Yes, in that sense it is more practical than other traditional martial arts weapons.

This is why experienced practitioners should always pay attention to endlessly repeating practices----to improve their reacting capability.
@thisandthat51888 жыл бұрын
川澄夜 If you never apply the techniques in sparring it will be useless. That's why traditional martial arts are ineffective, lack of aggressive contact and of real opposition in training.

Shingeki Harakuza How many years have you paticipated in any martial art trainning, if I may ask? No offense, but as someone who s been practicing Chinese sword and spear for 20yrs, I find the training grants me at least a very well programmed mind of dodge/counterattcking/instantaneous reaction in a fight. This was proved when I was training with my peers who showed no mercy when attacking.
@thisandthat51888 жыл бұрын
+Armenian Wing Tsun Dude fuck off with that, you keep sending me fake "fights" while I'm talking about real fighting. And you even deleted the replies of this my comment, you're a scam , boy, a fake.

5:48 Oh dear. If you faced off against a swordsman in that way, you'd die. Even given the fact that the dual weapons have an advantage over the single weapon (reach notwithstanding), letting the swordsman commit to an overhead strike and trying to block the blade is suicide. In such attacks, you should either get out of his range altogether or close before the sword reaches the top of its arc. You should also never try to block the blade but close and block/cut directly to the arm. The rule of thumb is that - with people of similar skill - the dual wielder will win over the single weapon but the way that played out, you'd lose - and badly.

Is the guy in blue using a lightsaber hahaha. If that is meant to be a katana you clearly dont know anything about a katana. Stabbing with a katana is really really rare and pretty stupid to do. If its meant to be a katana i didnt say anything.
@janki33534 жыл бұрын
katanas are designed for stabbing if needed. not designed with that in mind, but very possible
@makeithappenbourriht9634 жыл бұрын
@@janki3353 lol what? They are not at all. In combat there is no situation where stabbing would be better then slicing. So a katana was not designed nor used to stab. That it is possible, does not mean you should nor that it was meant to do that. Sure its a possibility but in this video they use a stab as an attack, which has never happened when katanas were still in use.
@janki33534 жыл бұрын
@@makeithappenbourriht963 there are many situations where stabbing is better than slicing. Slicing requires an open area between yourself and the opponent, and often in combat you dont have that luxury. Katanas were created with that in mind, thats why the tip is sharpened to a point. Rare, yes, and I agree, they arent designed for it, but if needed a katana can stab just fine.

7:23 Ok. Now you're "fighting" multiple opponents? At least before you seemed legit - if misguided. Now, you're just taking the piss. The first sign of a bullshito or a fake martial arts class is when they try to teach taking on multiple opponents. You will always lose if it's you vs more-than-one unless you just turn and run away. Always. Sigh.
