Love seeing all the men’s faces filled with either discomfort, confusion, suppressed reactions, or even regret like the podcast uprisings mention. I wish there were more clubs or seminars for men to come together and recognize their discomfort toward recognizing or supporting women in being their unapologetic selves, as well as reflect on how they feel when seeing women express themselves.

Not gonna lie, I really pre-judged Miss Fox before. But the more I listen to her, she is so intelligent, real, honest and true. She's not afraid to speak up for women and I truly admire that about her. Young women need more role models like her in order to challenge the concerning standards we have on us in this day and age. Her message is loud and true: to be our authentic selves and not let them win.
@XOXO______7 ай бұрын
She was a very different little-known normal speaking person with a boring fashion style and artwork before Kanye introduced her to stylists and the fashion world. He was still trying to get back with his family then, most likely left her, she was super excited talking about Kanye on Call her daddy but afterwards she tries to change the narrative to feed her branding as a "feminist" saying she was trying to help Kim Kardashian by dating him when in reality took it as the opportunity of her life to get famous. Her "I hate men, they are the problem" discourse is not empowering, is childish, but she knows how fueling victim mentality in young women gains her likes.The truth is her whole life she has dedicated herself to gain money from men, perhaps thats why she resents them so much. For sure she is intelligent but I have seen already too many times when she contradicts herself and plainly says lies.

Invited to Oxford for an interview… talks about smoking blunts while chewing gum. Gotta love her
@AA-qb7ni11 ай бұрын
People have this perception she's ditzy and weird but when you actually listen to her talk she's very honest and interesting to listen to.
@Betchbquie7 ай бұрын
It honestly reminds me of so many actresses for decades since the 40’s like Doris day and marylin Monroe studying her mannerisms as well as Dorothy dandridge being a blueprint for the “pretty girl uses a ditzy front is actually very intelligent” reminds me of the rejection of trying to embody a masculine demeanor in order to be taken seriously by men, but rather, like Julia, embrace the “femininity” that is actually seen by men as brainless and uneducated, therefore we know this act makes men feel like depend on men but that’s why they embrace it because it’s almost a satirical diversion and almost defense mechanism that is always going to be very disillusioned by the actual intellect women naturally have when we are interacted with which is already sad we expect not to be interacted with anyway by men or anyone to be honest in a serious approach.

Great interview. Her authenticity and candour never cease to impress me. Look how far she has come, with many odds stacked against her she stands here today firmly in her power, unapologetically so. She breathes so much love and empowerment after everything she has been through. It’s inspiring. There’s lots of hate and a real lack of any nuance in the comments, but it’s pretty boring to see people express their disdain and disregard her influence on pop culture and her clear talents as a writer, actress, artist etc because of her perceived media persona.

First I looked at Julia with interest because I like some stuff about her, then saw some red flags, then she lost me when she did a rant against anti aging procedures with her face (at least) full of botox and fillers. Many young people don’t realize that after 30, people who can’t frown or make wrinkles around eyes when smiling is because they have botox, she also had more signs of aging in her 20s, also cheekbones and jaw don’t just grow haha. Also her story that she hooked up with Kanye to help Kim is ridiculous, I could go on with examples. Feel shocked and sorry for the people who believe her PR BS moves.

With the exception of her anti-male glee, Julia is perfection. A lot of effort and policies were implemented to raise educational/professional potential of females in the 70s/80s which has been finally paying off; but now we're learning those efforts came at the expense of males. So we have a generation or two of boys who feel _(and are statistically)_ left behind and disenfranchised in the broadest way. Notwithstanding thousands of years of ugly misogyny, gleefully celebrating the fact that women are _"killing it" _(a la sore winner)_ is the wrong tack. Better to aim for and celebrate balance. Toxic male podcasts are born out of the attitude Julia exhibits here, not as she suggests, the fact that women are doing so well.

the student asking about pornography and normalization of kinks as such is absolutely on point. julia doesn't know what she even thinks.
