Your base looks superb ! You should definitely do a look with that greenish teal elf eyeshadow ! I think it would look so rad !! I hear charlotte tilbury released more shades in the hypnotising pop shots, hopefully you get to try them soon ! The shades look gorgeous. Nyx very recently launched the glow shots in my country so I’m very excited to try them out ! Sadly they’ve only launched a few shades so far, hopefully they release more soon. Elf still hasn’t launched the halo glow here, but I really like the flawless filter for how sheer it is, so I hope the elf one is not too thick.

I don’t really see ELF as a dupeing brand because they make things less expensive, cruelty free, almost all their stuff is vegan? and I’ve NEVER got a rash or broken out from an ELF product, also, this is a big one for me personally, THEY DONT PUT FRAGRANCES IN MOST OF THEIR STUFF. Other brands could never…and won’t apparently🙃😂

I feel like, to some degree, e.l.f. has been duping stuff for a very long time. Back in the late 2000s or early 10s they had a blush-bronzer duo that was essentially their version of the NARS Orgasm and Laguna one that was around at the time. Nowadays, the duping they're doing could be a bit more intentional on their part. While it's great to have a more affordable variation of a high-end product, it'd be great to see some more original launches.

Lashes applied underneath like this are liiiiiiife. I’ve been wearing FlutterHabit lashes (like these but better imo) for almost 4 years. I wear mine for 5 days and then apply new ones. So much easier and cheaper than extensions! Highly recommend FlutterHabit. And they ship to Canada, too!

So I bought the maybelline perfector and I took the little spongy off the end of mine but now everytime I go to use it a bunch of oil and separated product comes out and idk why because I always shake it before twisting any product up. But very very oily now that it’s not coming thru the sponge. Not my favorite thing honestly

I picked up a couple Elf setting powders that were on sale. I always hear you mention it and I wanted to play. They might be discontinuing it.(stock up if that’s your jam everybody.) I want to try the Lash n Roll dupe. I have experienced flaking with the mascara I have from Elf. I have not tried a non-black mascara in a while, but I 💜 a more natural vibe. I do like when brands innovate & improve upon existing formulas. Thanks for sharing your professional wisdom.

I feel like duping is a way for drugstore brands to charge more for some products because you'll be comparing them to higher-end products rather than other drugstore products. I absolutely think that drugstore customers should get good products, but you could at least have original packaging. For example, the elf whoa glow is a good enough product on its own, they didn't need to have the white and yellow packaging and market it as a dupe. They're going to lose a lot of goodwill the way Makeup Revolution lost a lot of goodwill, even though their products are good.
