My cities name is Thiruvananthapuram, because with the name of Sree padmanabha swamy temple. The deity is in the laid form so it is called Anantha sayanam , that is the reason named the city Thiru Anantha Puram. While the time of British rule they made the short and convenient name to pronounce for them as Trivandrum. Just info only

Nice beach at least the Water was much cleaner than goa . Yes those waves could be dangerously high swipe u off. I had bad experience in Cancun Mexico, very similar waves knock me off , and suddenly I rushed out of the beach while swimming. Looks like nice peaceful place .

I think Guruvayoor also (now) has the stupid rule where they refuse entry to anyone who looks like a "foreigner".
