Funnily enough Gemini is also one of the 5 palettes I would run to buy if I lost all of my eyeshadows (I’ve traveled with it, in my carry on, inside my bra bag and I think bubble wrapped but I’m not sure) and so is Soul Blooming. I am hoping and waiting for Beauty Bay to re-stock Friendcation, I’ve been wanting since January. Btw I don’t know if you like/have tried/are interested in but the Premiere palette by Zoeva for me also falls in this non-boring neutral palette category.

I was fully convinced that the Alter Ego palette was the same this as the ND Gold palette until I finally broke down and bought it, nopenopenope it’s nothing, it’s dirt on the bottom of the boot ofthe ND Gold palette. I was convinced that ND was overhyped because I wasn’t that impressed with the Sunset palette but the Gold palette and Sunrise palette are both AMAZING, I would even say I prefer it to my Pat McGrath and Viseart palettes 🤭

I have a great dupe for ABH's Soft Glam by the brand Bad Habit. It's called Arabesque. The shades are exact dupes, and the quality is great. Did you ever review them on your channel while shopHush was around? I have this theory that Alter Ego *is* Bad Habit, just under another name. Alter Ego's formula is identical. I also own Goddess, which is amazing, and Alter Ego's dupe of Huda's New Nudes palette, Daydream, and I love both. Friendcation is an awesome palette and I really feel it doesnt get enough credit, both when it dropped & now. I have one of the Kaja stacks (I think it's the rose gold stack), and the shadows are GORGEOUS. I've really been wanting to pick up the ABH Jackie Aina palette. Hopefully it will be around a little longer. For anyone looking for a true cool nudes palette, the Fame palette by Colourpop is pretty great. One of my faves.

I recently got Gemini palettes and I can’t seem to figure out how to use the shimmers. When I use my finger to try to pick it up lightly, it slightly forms a film. And the gold shade is very lack lustre. Does anybody have suggestions on how to use it? I’ve tried setting spray, I don’t have fixplus.

Jess jms Try to use a glitter glue or a tackier base for shimmers that lack lustre. It’s actually easier to use shimmer when you do a cut crease or halo eye with a tacky base.

Either glitter glue or unset base. Also it could be the brush. Try natural ones instead of synthetic. They usually pick up eyeshadows better and don't cause them to form hard pan.
