How to Make 3-D Decoupaged Cookie Eggs

The last of my egg videos for this Easter season! These decoupaged lovelies are made of cookies, wafer paper, and gold leaf, and are completely edible! I love their vintage feel, but by changing out papers, you can give them an entirely different effect.

All of the amazing cookies you have show over this Easter have been so gorgeous. The sugar eggs blew me away. Each one is so special and I can only imagine that those lucky enough to receive one try to preserve it for a few years. The eggs cookies you made here are divine- that gold leaf is the end all be all. It really makes the egg look not only vintage but really dainty and special. I adore the ripped paper "decoupage" effect as well. Reminds of the stuff I like to make using paper, ink and glue..always with a touch of metallic gold or silver.

Oh Julia, the one with the pink details is just spectacular! Purple roses (sterlings) are my all time favorite flower. What a gorgeous decoration for spring/Easter. (Happy Easter by the way).

THANKS! You have to use a recipe that's formulated for contoured cookies. I have a whole video that talks about how to approach the handling and adapting of doughs for contoured baking, so you should check it out.
