A good QB is essential on any team, Skip should realize this and take it into account with what BB has had to deal with since Brady left. Also, one thing these guys are missing is when talking about the Patriots is the O-Line the Patriots had during all those Brady years. They were unbelievable as Brady would say. Defense was pretty special too. :) Dante Scarnecchia was an unbelievable OLine coach - HOF in my opinion. I've been around prof athletes my entire life, and those OLine guys on the Patriots over the years were beasts, and in unbelievable shape. A great coach and I won't name names once told me a QB is only as great as their O-Line. The Patriots were the dynasty and dominate for 20+yrs because of A LOT of people, not just because of Brady or Belichick who were great in their own right. So many unsung heroes, coaches on those great Pat teams that don't get the glory as much as Brady or BB has. TEAM effort.

oline are talented people. if they arent blocking right its typically on the qb for not sliding protections, audible to diff plays, hot routeing. bill had good qbs. he had bledsoe and he looked terrible with him. he had good qbs in cle too they looked terrible with him. he never had good scoring offenses till brady came in regardless of the talent he had. that defense was good this year howd that work out. defenses job is to keep the average scoring around 20. not saying its all brady, but we have plenty examples of bills shortcomings without brady.

I wish, Nick Siriani has to go. He will only be as good as his coordinators. He can’t diagnose problems and solve them on either side of the ball. Jalen will be on his 3rd play-caller in 3 years because Nick Siriani the “offensive guy” can’t run his own offense which quite frankly, isn’t a great offense to begin with. We need a real offensive coach that can provide consistency from year to year.

Agree with everything you said. Unfortunately Nick Sirianni will 100% be back. I’ve never been so terrified of the thought of a Coach being brought back for another season. And that’s as a long life Philly sports fan after having to watch the Brett brown, Glen Rivers years. It makes absolutely no sense to bring this clown back. He can’t call plays, can’t run the defense, and now the one thing people claimed he was good at (motivating the players) he can’t even do that well. We already have Swoop, we don’t need another mascot. Specially when there’s this many respected coaches available. But the one thing about sirianni is that he’s a puppet, and in Philly we all know that’s what Lurie wants. Lurie can make every move behind the scenes while Sirianni lies and take the blame for all the things that go wrong.

The team had problems right from the beginning of the season that they could not fix and that playoff game was lifeless. Those problems are fixable in the offseason but is keeping a HC that the team quit on a good idea?

As an Eagles fan I agree! I don’t think our team will trust sirianni again. I like nick but being a potential one seed or at least 2 seed team we were the 5th seed and he’s done nothing to help fix it. The talent we have the coach should’ve adjusted in the last 7 games and find ways to win and he couldn’t even do that. At this point I’ll take belichick over nick cause he’s got such a great defensive mind in this league and nick doesn’t do a good job at running defensive schemes and I don’t wanna waste another year on him. If we were still in the playoffs and had the 1st or 2nd seed that’s a different story.

The quitting was reciprocal. He quit on the team and hence they quit on him. The last 7 weeks was a totally different dynamic from the first 11 weeks. Let's not forget how early on even when the team wasn't playing 2 good halves of football, they still won. Skip talked crazy because he's a hater and all he had to hang his hat on was look at the yards given up by the defense even though it didn't matter because they were playing with leads and still won those games.

Everyone just speculates. Does anyone even know what Lurie thinks about Belichick? Most of the Philly beat writers have reported that Lurie does not like him. Furthermore, after Chip Kelly, Lurie made a concerted effort to never again have a head coach have all the power that Kelly had. Thirdly, Belichick isn't going anywhere that won't give him full control. And finally, the man's biggest accomplishment as a head coach was lucking into Brady. He was on the road to being just another middling head coach. He was a great defensive coordinator, but his success has largely been due to lucking into the Michael Jordan of football. If you give Belichick the reigns to your franchise, you are taking a big chance because Tom Brady is not coming with him.
