With his build-up patterns and pressing tactics including traps and triggers, Nagelsmann has made RB Leipzig an even stronger side. Nagelsmann might even stay at Leipzig for a few seasons and attempt to break Bayern's and Dortmund's dominance in the Bundesliga.

With his build-up patterns and pressing traps, Nagelsmann has won a grand total of fuck all. Does he even have an "honours" section in his Wikipedia entry? Contrast that with the unequivocal success of Chris Wilder. He didn't need to get into the good books of ignorant hipsters to win league titles in virtually every division that he's managed in.

@Nicholas Conroy I've won too many of such meaningless debates. I was proven right when boring France won the World Cup with their low block "anti-football". I was proven right when Getafe dumped Ajax out of thr Europa League. I was proven right when Atleti dumped Liverpool out of the Champions League. If I had been born 60 years ago, I would have confidently told you that boring, defensive Germany would beat Cruyff's Holland in the 1974 World Cup final. Once again, poets don't win many titles.

tactically he seems to do a great job, and you can only assume as he gets older his already impressive leadership skills while progress further allowing him and his teams to achieve more and more. If he doesn't burn out under the bright lights of the worlds football media and high expectations, he has a VERY bright future.
@azac96274 жыл бұрын
What is beautiful to note is he uses only ONE CB, Upamecano and converted fullbacks Halstenberg LCB and Klostermann RCB who provide signature CB overlapping attacking runs which overloading the flanks along with wingbacks Angelino and Mukiele linking up with the wide forwards to great effects...You should review Sheffield United and their variation to overlapping CBs

The fact that this side made it to the UCL semi-finals shows what he can achieve. I kinda hat a feeling this would happen, since with Hoffenheim (a much weaker team) he still was able to hold Man City at bay last season and even give them a challenge, so now it was the question how good is Leipzig really... and it still is hard to tell, but they're pretty strong.

Nagelsmann truly can be another world-class German manager in the mould of Hitzfeld, Heynckes and Klopp if he keeps this form up. Leipzig might not have superstars like Messi, CR7, Lewandowski, De Bruyne or Aguero on paper, but he has turned them into a force to be reckoned with in the Bundesliga, giving the likes of star-studded Bayern and Dortmund a difficult time. Not to mention the team is also performing very well in the UCL - an incredible feat for sure!

A lot of people really doesn't know that Rb Leipzig didn't even spend that much of money at all. Scouting is very good. In just 1 season. I don't really know if I can call the manager as the next big thing. No wonder how good u r , if u r not winning anything ? U r not a good manager. Klopp wasn't even in the conversation before he won the ucl with Liverpool , I don't remember people calling him a good manager at all but suddenly as he won the title , everybody went mad while I'm watching the guy from the past 9 years that he'll win one day . Setien is another good manager but he doesn't have trophies so people downs count him. With all due respect to SAF , I liked Wenger more than him tactically but it's a fact that good football never guarantee u good amount of trophies. As far as Ik Pep has been playing the best football in the past decade but he has less Ucls than Zidane , luck plays good amount of role , sometimes u need that crossbar shot to just go in for better chances but it doesn't just go in . Luck is always important , even Beckenbauer said ,Cruyff was the best player in the WC but I've the world cup n he doesn't. Same with Messi " he was the best player in the Argentine team but he doesn't have the WC ".
