Autumn Strong is a very emotive song...I would opt for the Gloria Wu version though as Hunan can be aggressive with blocks. Gloria drops the pitch just a bit, but includes the back story to the song, which greatly enhances the listening experience.

I really hate when people in the comments tell reactors and coaches not to pause to react. The whole point is for them to react to what they are seeing and hearing. I have no interest in sitting and watching someone sitting and watching a video. If I want to hear the song uninterrupted, I'll go to dimash's channel. Julia, please just pause as many times as you need to in order to say what you want to say. That's what I'm here for. A reaction and/or analysis.

There is a lot of back story to this performance. He sang with a very popular Russian group called A-Studio, this song had been sung before by the vocalist of the group who passed away some years back. Apparently the melismatic folk style singing is actually a Kazakh funereal or memorial song that was inserted in memory of this artist, and showed great respect by Dimash to him. Dimash is very keen to use these folk music melismas, modal and chromatic techniques from Asia Minor and Arabic music. See his performances of Hello, Know, Samaltau and others.. Thanks for a very interesting reaction..

Brian, A-Studio is a Kazakh group originally from Almaty who are now based in Russia. Dimash speaks Kazakh to the pianist as well as Russian to the audience at the end.
Русским-то это понятно, у нас тут национальностей очень много и мы в них, в общем-то, разбираемся. that's right =) just as Dimash works in China and Russia, and arranges concerts in different countries, so A-Studio has been working in Russia for a long time. They still remain Kazakhs, with their strong roots and culture. Russians understand this, we have a lot of nationalities here. We know them, distinguish them, and roughly understand how a person is affected by their homeland and culture.

Gloria Wu’s channel has the backstory and translations to Daididau. I absolutely love the Kazakh heavy rock/folk song, ‘Durdaraz’ from Arnau tour, New York concert. ‘Lay Down’ is an under appreciated pop/rock song. Dimash is the best singer in the WORLD and there are no doubts about that, his voice is a prodigy of nature and a genetic marvel since his parents are two glories of singing from Kazakhstan since he was 5 years old, he sings publicly and has more than twenty years of lyrical training and graduated from the university of music, he is a singer, composer, arranger and multi instrumentalist, he plays more than seven musical instruments and sings in more than fifteen(15) languages, he is also a great performer and a great artist who lives and feels music He is not an imitator of voices , Dimash has his own style and is one of the forerunners of the "POPera" he also has a very pleasant, HUMBLE and simple personality, easy access, which makes it very easy to follow, he always travels with His family and friends is a very educated person and an example to follow, he has become known for his musical talent not for getting into trouble or scandals, It has a very wide vocal range of approximately 7 octaves ,he is a singer with a wide vocal range very versatile is Baritone, TENOR , Soprano, counter TENOR, mezasoprano, everything at the same time is how to have 5 singers in one, it has a male and female voice, also many resources such as vibrato, "melismas", falsetto, Staccato,whistle tone, reaching a( D8 )live "Outside of Piano"at the concert of Gakku in an unforgettable day, at his young age he continues to improve and grow musically to perfection, he has a good physical presence he measures 191 cm or 6 "3", he is very famous and recognized in Asia and now he is becoming known In Europe and America, ALL their songs are spectacular, it always goes from low to high, soft to spectacular at the end, in my almost half a century of life I never heard so much quality and it is the hope of continuity of the classical genre because all the old tenors have already Almost all of them died and Dimash can sing like them but none of them can sing like Dimash, being a Man he sings better than any Tenor and his female voice is superior to that of any average Soprano, greetings and a hug from USA 🇺🇸 "Dears" Forever ❤️ Sorry for copying and pasting my informative comment in ALL the Video reactions to Dimash what I see but I do it with the intention of sharing information about him and what I think that in the music industry there are many artists who have been successful and have no talent and are bad people and they do not set a good example for the youth, Dimash and his music deserve to triumph in America, Europe and the whole WORLD, do you want to have already read my comment please come by without problem there is always someone who for the first time knows this information and I won't get tired of sharing it with all my friends"Dear" around the world, thanks for reading and for supporting Dimash 🙏🏻S.O.S. The story behind this song is very interesting: The band that accompanies Dimash is the same one that composed the song, without the singer who died after a heart attack! The band is also from Kazakhstan and this performance by Dimash revitalized the song. In addition, the final part he added, with an oriental technique (traditional cazaq singing). Is a funeral lament, paying homage to the dead vocalist? Brilliant! The song was originally performed in 1998 and the band's name is A'Studio. The dead singer left the band in 2000 and passed away in 2015 and his name was Batyrkhan Shukenov. The lyrics are by the poet Ilia Reznik together with Baigaly Serkebyev, who is the keyboardist with long hair, which we see in the video accompanying Dimash.

Thanks for your reaction and analysis! I'd highly recommend "Love is Like a Dream" as many others have mentioned, as well as "Know," which blends some other styles and improvisation that you haven't heard from Dimash yet!

Thank you for nice reaction and analysis! The most emotional and sad Dimash song for me is Daybreak. I suggest that you react to Daybreak first with a backstory from Gloria Wu channel and than to Bastau version. I am crying every time I am listening to it... Greetings from Denmark!

I think most of the people watching this react video have already seen/heard Dimash singing this song before so are watching this video to get your reaction and expert/informed opinion so you pausing the video to say something is not a problem and if you pause it to comment at an inappropriate part of the song then you can always rewind it a few seconds when restarting, the first part of this video where you don't pause or comment is still good to watch because your facial expressions are just beautiful, there are a lot of reaction videos to Dimash on KZbin and for me one of the best things is, it doesn't matter whether the reactor is and average person or has some expertise in singing, they are all impressed! There is a video on KZbin of him rehearing this song (I'm guessing the day before this performance) and it's amazing how close to this version it is, especially since they are still building the stage and there are people walking past him as he's singing, in fact some people have argued that because the rehearsal version is so close to the performance version that he is just lip syncing!

Julia, loved it. Always learn something new. But, and this is a big BUT....please dont give in to these Dimash-Nazis. There are not that many of them but they make such a big noise and intimidates the Reactor. The vast majority of us are just happy to to see you experience Dimash. So, this is your channel. Stop whenever you want to, do YOUR thing the way you want to. And when you read the comments, and you find a nasty one, just skip it. Don't even read it. The viewer who does not enjoy your style of reacting must leave. Honestly, Im sick of these Nazis behaving as if they own Dimash.... They have driven more than one reactor away already because of their nastiness. My girl, you look like a strong one... Do your thing and middle-finger the nasties. Please, I'm serious. We wany you to stay and continue with your Dimash journey -YOUR way!!!! Regards from Thailand.

Thanks for the support :) I totally see where you're coming from so I thought I'd give a bit more of a response. Ultimately, I don't mind trying new things and taking on feedback but you best believe I'll only do things how I want to! There's always room to improve and grow so I want to read things and weigh up if it is helpful or not. Sometimes the most helpful insights can come from the most brutal feedback. Critique isn't inherently bad (I certainly dish out a lot of 'critique' in my job and have to handle a lot of it back as a performer) but there is a balance there for sure! Thanks again for your support, I'm so glad you're enjoying and learning something from my videos!

Thank you Julia. Appreciate your very thoughtful candor. For me, the most beautiful quality of this vocal genius is his ability to draw me into the song whether I understand the words or not. There are many live performances where this ability is so visceral. Thanks again lass.

The songs that made me cry were Akkuym the MV and Love is like a dream. Oh and late autumn from the singer episodes. I don't cry much from music usually so maybe those names might be helpful ha

Love your reaction and analysis, Julia :) For a more "emotional" song by Dimash, I would recommend "Love is like a dream" (on Dimash's KZbin channel). On that song, you will probably see great emotion based on excellent technique. Looking forward to your next reaction :)

2 more contemporary songs are:"Screaming", the official music video and "Across Endless Dimensions", also an official video with spectacular scenes from the movie Creators:The Past.
@DarthRayj4 жыл бұрын
Screaming would be a great one! Very much contemporary, also he wrote it himself IIRC and there's a live performance at a festival where he adds an extra musical style into it just for fun compared to the studio/music video version.
