I’ve never been married but don’t want kids but live in Mn which a lot of people live here cause it’s a good place to raise a family but I was raised here. So it’s hard to find guys that don’t have a child in their 40s. The guy I’m with has kids but they’re all grown.

In Toronto, the average woman is in her mid to late 30's when she had kids. When I had married and had 3 kids in my 20's, people acted like I was a teenager. No regrets, we had a lot of fun. Our third child died of cancer at 12 years old and at 41 years old, my husband and I are expecting our 4th child. It's funny to be starting over again. The expectation seems to be you lose a pre-teen or teenager and that's it. Your parenting years are over. When people realize I'm pregnant and already know about our loss, it seems to throw people off. We were done at 3 and happy with our 3. We're not ready to be done being parents yet. I've always worked for an airline and loved taking my kids everywhere and showing them as much of the world as I can and I'm not done with that yet. I can't say I felt restricted as a parent in my 20's. My parents travelled a lot when I was growing up and it drove me to make sure that I could travel with my kids a lot. I've never thought that everyone should have kids or that there is a right age to have kids. My parents had a couple of us in their early 20's and a couple of us in their late 30's. The right time is IF you want to and when you can afford to.

My mom had me at 26 so I had a lot of time with my grandparents and my parents had time to saving after I was financially independent at 21 for their own retirement. It doesn't have to be before 30 but waiting after 37 for women and 40 for men increases risks of health issues for the child and mother.

I’m 39 and I was just asked by idiotic man why if I’m such a good woman, why am I not married? Well, I am a good woman of God and I also did not have a good example of a man, having an abusive dad. I was busy attracting the wrong man and pursuing a Doctorate and career. As this woman said, through my healing journey, I was not ready before now! I am proud to be who I am and what woman I turned out to be. If God’s will it will be, I’m letting it go for now because I refuse to feel powerless.

I totally stand for what Julianna is saying about mature women waiting to decide if they want marriage and children, there should be no shame in young women wanting to marry early and have a family while they are young. 40 isn’t over, it’s just beginning when we know more about what we want and who we are. But that shouldn’t negate the experiences of young women of 20 knowing who they are and what they went. There are many things I wish I could’ve done, but I have NEVER regretted having my children nor did I blaming them for my “missing out” on something. Many young couples go on to have long strong marriages. And many mature adults keep making the same mistakes with a mate or partner and switch them out like new outfits. People grow and learn new things about who they are at any stage. How they handle them and incorporate them into their current situation is key. Let’s be supportive of ALL women of all ages.
@deesee3622

Right and that’s what they’re saying. It’s about what’s right for you and not about how old you are. It’s just that society tends to do this more to older women yet the divorce rates are high for people who marry younger than that. Of course there are couples who have been together since high school and still going strong as well - you can find that in all age groups

It is in society's best interest to help females grow up and feel like FREE individuals and urge people of both sexes to marry for the RIGHT reasons. I can totally understand what Julianna says, that she had to get rid of the narrative that she was born into and raised with, as to how a marriage feels like and is and more importantly ,especially women, cause they are the driving force of a family, they need to find themselves first, before they decide to raise a child. Of course, people who are not kind hearted, hence really mentally sick imo, will always rush to a marriage with the wrong spouse, because of desperation, because they want to show off to the others, 'look at me I am the first one to get married from our group of friends' and they will make you feel like garbage, because you chose to do things the hard but right way and you waited until you were sane enough to find a decent human being or you chose to have a family on your own , instead of marrying a man you loathe or are not in love with, so that you can have sby to pay your bills and your kid or kids have a father , one however that you , the mom , do not love or even like. The important thing is to be raised by a loving parent or parents.And good people can be loving parents. Bad people cannot.

I wholeheartedly agree with the entirety of this statement. I've known people that married simply to be first or to make a public statement that they were wanted by someone. Insecurity is an enormous driving force into marriage for some people. I have always felt quite secure on my own.

After I got married at 36 we tried to have a baby at 37 and it never happened. I’m 4 years older. We never got our happy ending and I wish I could turn back time to have tried to have a baby sooner. It’s different for everyone. Words cannot express how crush and heart broken I am.

Start checking your ovarian reserves in your early 30’s. If you want to wait, freeze some of your eggs, then take all the time you need to find Mr.Right, grow up, experience everything. (It’s not your uterus that fails you, it’s your ovaries) That way you won’t miss out on motherhood. Most woman having a baby in their 40’s are doing it through fertility clinics and may be using donor eggs, sperm, or even embryos. It’s costing them a ton of money if they don’t have the right insurance. Sometimes they can’t have children because they have waited too long. Hollywood stars have the money and time off to do what the average woman can’t afford to do. Don’t give up your choices. Test your ovarian reserves. It’s a blood test that costs a couple of hundred dollars, and then you know.

I think a conversation about egg freezing should be had with girls at a young age so they're aware that it's ok to live life and still have the option to reproduce later in life. I thought about freezing my eggs at age 35 (I was kinda old, would have been better to do it B4 I was 25 to get better egg quality) I ended up not doing it. I've never really wanted kids anyways but for some reason, now that I'm almost 42 I kinda wish I did have some "eggs in the freezer" just in case I end up changing my mind when I'm 50 or something.

Egg freezing is a load of shite. Why should women have to pay an extortionate amount of money on an invasive procedure when there are no guarantees anyway. Sick of seeing this advice everywhere. Tons of women could never afford it anyway.
@NightinGal89
@NightinGal89 3 жыл бұрын
It is roughly 10000$ to freeze, varies depending on the facility, but there are no guarantees with it, I read there's roughly a 40% success rate of getting a baby out of frozen eggs. I am 32 and have looked a bit into it, but do not even have that kind of money saved(yet), and I would have to go "deposit" my eggs in a foreign clinic(I live in Eastern Europe). Some clinics I looked at for instance won't offer services to single women or gay couples(yey, discrimination)

@Nonchalant M Thank you. You mean no point in doing it at 40?I would say it is worth a try. My mother got pregnant with me at almost 36, by accident. She said she didn't think she would get pregnant again at "a late age" 😂. Times are changing. My mother actually reached menopause at 50. So technically, she could have had more children, but she didn't want any. It varies from person to person.

My grandma had her four youngest after 47 no problems what so ever with homebirthing as most women do. I know for sure any medical Harmon prevention does so much harm so use condoms even with your husband Rather. Why do I want to go anywhere else when living a luxury home. I live in an apartment work from my corner home office I don't like to go anywhere unless I have to.

Freeze your eggs. Then you won’t feel rushed. When you find the right guy you can still have babies. It’s not you uterus that gives out on you it’s your ovaries that stop producing eggs. You can be a mama at 45 or 50. I know from experience. Good luck!

Im 36 and got pregnant on the first try a month ago. I am sick to my stomach now but that's beside the point. You will find someone. Write a letter to the universe outlining the things you want in a partner and finish the letter with "so be it and so it is." Then repeat the letter every night before you go to sleep. Believe you will find this person, believe you deserve it. Then, when you least expect it, they'll pop up! Believe and you will achieve. Blessings❤😘

At what moment did you Americans become so old-fashioned as to consider the most normal thing to get married and have kids in your TWENTIES?? 😦😁 I'm always astonished when I hear you people talk about this subject. I mean, the girl finds that she became a mom "late" at 31! 🤯 Even for us Latin Americans, it is more and more normal to get married and have babies in the 30s, not in the 20s!! I can't even imagine how funny all this can sound to Europeans 🤭 -since in their case, it's more and more normal to have babies in their 40s, not in their 30s. I mean, listening to you guys, one has the impression to be in the past century.
