Brings a tear to my eye every time. I love to watch the expressions of joy come to their faces

I've never been moved to tears by a cello or violin piece before, but this duet made me get misty. It truly feels like a conversation, between two people who deeply love each other. There's trust, and confidence. A heaviness in the difficult times, then awkward fitting the pieces back together, together, and then racing runs of beautiful notes stronger than they were before. What a beautiful piece.

A first class performance! I've never heard this with a violin part, and in my opinion it definitely makes for a more cohesive piece. Bravo, gentlemen, and thank you for posting!

Do you perhaps still have the sheet music? I play violin and my twin sister plays cello, we are considering to learn this but want to check the sheets first.

I know this is two years old, but you can find the music in Mark Summer's website. :)

Holy cow! So, recently I've been listening to the version of this song as performed by Kevin Olusola which some may know from the hit group "Pentatonix". The cello part of this has become very popular to perform as a solo in recent years, apparently to the point where I didn't even know the violin part existed. Hearing it for the first time, what a completely different song entirely in such a delight way. Amazing. Truly!

It does originally exist as a solo cello piece, but Summer made arrangements for Violin/Cello duo, and Cello/Cello duo.

That was so great Mark! I love that you guys are just jamming large portions of your piece, sitting on a bed in a bedroom with an awesome violinist, dressed in T shirt and sandals! I am enjoying playing your solo cello version and teaching it! Great piece!
