Julie supports abusers so I will never support her. Point blank and the period. A huge number of people could and would do a better job hosting (Taylor Hale, Tiffany Mitchell, Da’Vonne Rogers, Daniele Reyes just to name a few) and they wouldn’t be attached to and actively supportive of the rapist who used to run the network. As charming as Julie can be, there simply is NO looking past her denial of her husband’s victims.

As far as replacing Julie, that would ruin half the show. They replaced Emma over in Celebrity Big Brother UK and that host isn't as charasmatically funny. I LOVE the UK contestants. They always include elderly mixed in with HGs as young as 18.

Yes. I think she is part of the show. Would seem weird to have another ghost. I think if Jared is evicted his mom will want to go instead. But Julie won't let her because she wasn't evicted. And Cirie could possibly self evict.. Blue I think is a fool for throwing away a shot at winning over a guuy you are sleeping on with that isn't even your game boyfriend. Honest question: are you aware of why and when she started saying Chen-Moonves instead of just Chen at the close of every episode? In case you and anyone else is unaware I’ll break down the gist if you’re interested in reading: “Chen-Moonves” was a very clear statement of her position and beliefs which she continues to this day - incl a statement again in her new memoir that was just released that a ton of articles are quoting this week “I know my husband” and stating the allegations are false. I urge everyone to have a read of the articles published by the New Yorker with a total of a dozen women (6 initially and then 6 more surfaced - possibly more now, I’m not sure) who stepped fwd to tell their stories. Including a fairly successful actress and a female doctor. It all got even darker, coming to light that CBS senior executives working with the LAPD to keep allegations quiet - and no that’s not gossip, it’s from the findings released in a report by the NY Governor General’s office after their investigation. If you don’t want to read all of this and want shorter clips, there is a ton of coverage on it from that time about 5 years ago here on KZbin. Almost all of the major news networks covered it. CNN (regardless of how people feel about CNN) did some good short-form interviews with Ronan Farrow. Even the Talk did a round table discussion in the days after the first article was published w/o Julie there. To be clear, although some do, I never judged how Julie and Les got together in the first place (it was allegedly an inter-office affair, he then left his wife for her). Things like this happen all the time sadly and while “unsavoury” to put it kindly, it’s true that we don’t know the circumstances of their relationship nor those of his with his first wife (could’ve been a marriage of convenience for all we know). Julie and Les got married and had a family - clearly there was something real between them. I don’t even judge her for staying with her husband and keeping her family unit together after these allegations were made public. I could and would not personally do the same but that’s me. I DO judge her for the very clear statements she’s made about where she stands on these numerous allegations by many women which in short (and I’m using more cutting language here), they’re liars the lot of them and I believe my husband. Her husband who was ousted by CBS and was unable to collect the $120 million pkg he was contractually owed (despite, no doubt, having the best lawyers that money can buy seeing as he reportedly earned 650 MILLION dollars over his 12 year tenure as CEO). That alone speaks volumes about the truth behind these allegations and what proof CBS is likely to have on file behind the scenes that was never made public. And yes, several of the women said they made complaints to the legal dept at the time that the assaults took place and at least one was told, and I quote “who’s going to believe you?”. This had been going on for decades. He’s another Weinstein. I believe there were several pay outs as well to keep women quiet but don’t quote me on that; my memory may be faulty there. And one woman who “made a fuss” got fired quickly. So yeah, regardless of where each person’s moral and ethical stance on her husband lies - and no, Julie is not her husband’s crimes - there is absolutely justifiable reason to talk about Julie as an appropriate host when she stated yet again “I know my husband” in her new book about God. It doesn’t sit right with a lot of viewers including me. At the very least, I would like the network to get her to stop with the preachy closing comments. Beyond that, the fact that she doesn’t even care much for the show (I think most people are aware that she’s fed her lines and isn’t a feed watcher - she herself tells the story of how she was basically strong-armed by the network into taking the job to start with, she never wanted a hosting gig - she tells the story herself very pointedly, there are many clips and articles online about it), it would be awesome to have a host who has a deep love of the game. I don’t think it’s necessary mind you, many competition and game show hosts are just there to host and then leave and could be hosting anything, but the programs where the hosts really get into it - it shows; the audience can feel it. Think Davina McCall, Arisa Cox (edit “Arisa” dang auto correct - I must put respect on her name 😊) or Jeff Probst. And you’ll even see eager hosts - the latter two are cases in point - become show producers over time. They’re all-in, super invested in the quality of programming. And to me, that is a big plus.
