I relocated countries 5 years ago (NZ to Australia) and took early retirement from nursing to be closer to my daughter who has significant health issues. I was concerned that in my mid fifties I would struggle to find a new Bestie. I have a wonderful husband but it is so important to have female friends . I attended a crochet class and met Lesley who introduced me to stampin up. This weekend I'm attending my first ever card retreat. I will be forever grateful.

You are a wonderful friend and an awesome Mom to all of your kids - which I've known since I first met you. It's okay to be upset when your kids are upset. My son just got back from a 7 month deployment to Germany and Camp Jibidou in Africa. I noticed the last 7 months - I've not been making many cards except to send a steady flow to him. We will always worry about our kids - even when they are married and have their own kids (he has a 28 year old son who lives in St. Louis). So, I'll send a card out to Claire in the mail to you tomorrow and I'm sure other stampers will do the same. Sending hugs your way! Beautiful cards!

I am so happy that I can be flexible in the work that I do so I can support the kids in all of the ways that they need during these precious years as they are in high school and launching into adulthood. It's so hard to have physical distance between us, but especially when they are struggling.

My SIL has sent me a card every month since my cancer diagnosis...treatment, surgeries and bone marrow transplant etc. On year 7 and I just got another sweet card yesterday. All the cards I make, and she showed me the power of small gesture.

I watched your LIVE last night for the first time. Are people always that rude to you? Typing their answers again and again, and one person saying Do you wanna fight? That was an interesting live experience, wasn't it?! That is the first time we've had "bots" attacking the live chat like that. I don't understand WHY. Mostly they were copying other comments and repeating them, so there just doesn't seem to be a purpose. That is definitely not normal for my videos, so I hope you'll tune in another time when we aren't so distracted in the chat!
