Beautifully done, as always. I really enjoyed your arrangement, and especially appreciated how you resisted the melodramatic modulations that are so common with this song. I think your more understated approach really conveyed the carol and the lyrics more vividly. And absolutely the right decision to include the simple piano accompaniment.
