I would've NEVER thought the word "electrician" could be said so beautifully

As an engineering student with depression, the line "is there any chance you made a mistake" is funny to me.

Julien is one of the most beautiful beings I've ever seen, her music is heart wrenching and I break right down with her when she plays her songs... She has made a huge impact on me, I found her music only a couple of years ago but god I wish I'd knew her sooner... God bless you Julien, may you succeed and find happiness and bliss in everything you do in life, you are incredible, you really are

I need to meet her and watch her play before I die. I'm so lucky I found her a few years ago... reminds me to appreciate that I live when I do, sometimes I forget.

I was thinking about the quiet crowd, and how a lot of us are as meek and mild as her, just sitting here watching her say all the things we wish we were smart enough to say about ourselves. And that leaves us so dumbfounded, we're even quieter than what is our average...

i was at her concert in munich and it was so quite the whole time that at the end of one of her Songs a guy snezed and it felt so loud that everyone broke out in laughter

I think it's courage more than being "smart enough." I think it takes drive, courage, and obviously talent to want to live that life, be on stage, tour, etc. Behind vulnerability there is a great strength, which you can hear in Julien's voice.
@calebknott80217 жыл бұрын
I believe it certainly is both. Most of what I meant is the ability to decipher one's own thoughts and sort out what you're really feeling, and then being able to articulate it as effectively as she does. There's a massive amount of courage that it takes to not only arrive at such honest conclusions, but then another level to refine and regularly deliver them to an audience. Thanks for your reply, it helped me think through this thought more broadly.

Don't forget to buy the album whenever you can (on her bandcamp). It's important to keep our beloved musicians alive :)
@adiakolb117 жыл бұрын
Julien Destange i bought it from itunes! is bandcamp more beneficial for her? sorry, i'm not sure how that stuff works
@JulienDestange7 жыл бұрын
Quote : "Bandcamp’s payout model is one of its most lauded features. Known for paying artists a hefty profit and cutting out the middleman, Bandcamp collects 15% of digital sales. Compared to Spotify’s comparatively petty payout of less than a PENNY per stream, Bandcamp is a much more profitable option for artists who want to sell directly to fans." Spotify and other streaming-music plateform will kill all the not-enough-famous musicians at long-term. Buy directly from the artists you love as often as you can and go to gigs :) I saw her three day ago in Germany. I bought her T-shirt and her new 2 track-vinyl, because I want her to keep touring and recording a new album ^^

If I could do what I want I would become an electrician I'd climb inside my ears And I would rearrange the wires in my brain A different me would be inhabiting this body I'd have two cars, a garage, a job And I would go to church on Sunday A diagram of faulty circuitry Explains how I was made And now the engineer is listening As I voice all my complaints From an orchestra of shaking metal keeping me awake I was just wondering if there's any way that you made a mistake Because I miss you the way that I miss nicotine If it makes me feel better, how bad could it be? Well I heard there's a fix for everything Then why, then why, then why Then why not me? The 1st of April saw the sickening repair Wore my best shirt to the clinic decorated with a laminate name No one is laughing from an audience of folding plastic chairs And I'm not fooled when you tell me that you're glad I came Am I honest to admit or just a hypocrite? I know I should be being optimistic but I'm doubtful I can change Grit my teeth and try to act deserving When I know there is nowhere I can hide From your humiliating grace Because if you swear that it's true Then I have to believe What I hear evangelicals say on TV And if there's enough left after everyone else Then why, then why, then why God why not me?
