I'm not sure how much truth there is to this, but as the story goes, a bunch of years ago Julian and some friends went to see Slayer play. He was mixing it up in the pit as one occasionally might, when suddenly, he gets knocked hard on the head by an errant stage diver/crowd surfer/random flying body. Dazed, he doesn't think much of it, and continues on enjoying the show. The following day he wakes up with a fairly sizable knot on his head. Again, he doesn't trip on it, because after all, he took a good hit, and besides icing it, there wasn't much he could do. A few days pass, and the knot becomes increasingly painful, and eventually infected. He can no longer deal with it, and begins fussing with the lump which at this point has become an abscess. Finally, the infected mound split open, and from it he extracts someone's front tooth.

1989/1990 as story goes a south FL kids visits ALbany NY area and see's a deck shaped different & weird by a new company he never heard of called ' blind ' . And the by Marg Gonzales no doubt,,,dude bought the deck and learned nollies on this deck cause it's the 1st time a nose was big enough to... ~upon return to said south FL suburbia all the locals starting rippin on dudes funky shaped deck and dude preoceeded to learn tre flips & backside kickflips over manholes that summer..what a summer!.... Fast forward 3-7 months and EVERYONE had "shaped" decks.... a memory I will forever cherish.. ****BTW,,it was the gonz deck that had the fish,,the writing,and the other Gonz art on it. those blind deck shapes we're just epic.. I started skating those shapes again about 4-5 years ago when I officially retired popsicles.. ~A buddly of mine also helps me 'sand the noses so they have a similar shape to them without looking all stupid' any curious should ask to see pics and I will show em..
