I think that Opel may need to consider reducing their prices if they really want to compete with other brands. The built and quality of Opel is great, however it's a brand that slowly faded away from the consumer mind, so of course it will be difficult for them to suddenly return into the market and compete with the likes of Toyota and VW if they are not willing to reduce prices of their cars or offer better car warranty than competing brands.

I have had mine now for 3 months in the 1.5 turbo diesel format and could not be happier, its quick, economical, and very comfy. the build quality is in my opinion is easily as good if not better than its competition. very nice review Juliet and looking forward to a more in -depth review on this awesome animal ! by the way a 300 HP hybrid Grandland is just about to be launched here soon, you getting your hands on one in SA ?

Great car... Lovely weekender and zippy. I'd rather have this, not get hijacked, and stand out from the crowd. Specs are probably the best in class, top notch ride quality on dirt (better than a Rav4), competitive boot space, ground clearance of 20mm, faster than Rav4 and probably anything else in the class, exclusivity, cheaper than...yes, a Rav4, Honda CRV, Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage and even an Xtrail. Easy pick for me when being sensible. Now give me a CRV please.

I like Opel I really do but the price makes me think twice there's a Tiguan , CX-5 and Tucson they look much cooler than the Opel

Vauxhall/Opel have really upped their game and are easily a good comparison to similar priced cars now. and have you thought that maybe the competition are over priced anyway.

@@hunter100t Yes some models on Opel are overpriced honestly speaking for example the Opel Corsa , Mokka and Grandland X. I don't know how to explain this but sometimes makes customers to look alternatives , they need to accommodate both people who buy because of their Manifest or Latent needs

@@hunter100t that's true even the competition are over priced but Opel should be strategic maybe do something like what VW has done on the Polo we have Vivo and also Toyota did the same on Corolla we have Quest and also on the Verso we have Avanza

Opel is a good product but you have Chev messing up the product faith so it takes years to regain trust.

Sadly yes, but is made in a peugeot chassis, so it isnt bad this car
