& Juliet ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
In this vlog I go to see the UK Tour of & Juliet at the Manchester Opera House. I went to a Tuesday evening performance on 16th July 2024 which started at 7.30pm. The run time for the show is 2hrs 30 minutes which includes a 20 minute interval. I paid £25 for my ticket which was a reduced price as it was a single seat ticket, I was sat in the Stalls, row L seat 23 my view from this seat was very good and there was plenty of legroom so I would definitely sit in that seat again.
& Juliet" is a modern twist on Shakespeare's classic tragedy "Romeo and Juliet." Conceived by writer David West Read and featuring the chart-topping hits of songwriter Max Martin, the musical imagines a world where Juliet's story doesn’t end in tragedy. Instead, she takes control of her fate and embarks on a journey of self-discovery. This fresh and empowering narrative has captivated audiences worldwide, and the UK tour continues this tradition of excellence.
The musical begins with William Shakespeare and his wife, Anne Hathaway, discussing the ending of "Romeo and Juliet." Anne proposes an alternative where Juliet doesn't die, prompting a delightful and daring rewrite of the classic tale. Juliet, upon waking to find Romeo dead, decides to leave Verona with her friends-her nurse Angelique, and her companions May and April-to start anew in Paris. The journey is filled with humour, heart, and poignant moments as Juliet learns to navigate life on her own terms. This reimagined storyline is both empowering and deeply moving, resonating with audiences of all ages.

I actually really wanted to see this Sarah but it’s not coming to Belfast where I live. Hopefully it might get announced in the future because I really wanted to go and see it and I would’ve loved to see Sandra Marvin in it because I saw her in Sister Act as well and thought she was fantastic as Deloris.
