Oh how lovely to see this interview! I made the Georgian house in 1992, whilst pregnant with my now almost 30 year old son! I thought I would need a hobby not working full time any more 🙄 and as I came across the Build a Dollshouse book in a mainly secondhand bookshop in The Hague, it seemed like it was meant to be. I could not have found another book with as much detail for a complete novice. I built the house in about 2 weeks including the windows and then the staircase and doors in about 3 weeks. I’ve been working on the house in fits and starts ever since! The house may be 30 years old, but it’s still quite solid and doesn’t need anything doing to it! Well, maybe a bit of paint and some new wallpaper and some more furniture or more pottery or new curtains ….

@@JulieWarren Thanks & believe me I'm always ready for new video's, also I am planning on making a dolls house with my folks in the future so my miniself doll and other doll projects can have either house, diorama of lakes or loch, or which ever, if that succeed, I'll be able to buy Moonlight Jewel BJD Rabbit dolls so I can make them into Peter Rabbit family and cousin.

Julie, I have a few questions for you. How many dolls houses do you have? Do you renovate the same house again & again or are they additional houses? What do you do with the completed houses? I am a novice to dolls houses and I have completed a furnished house. But I’m not sure what my next step should be?! I so enjoy your videos and am delighted to watch your new format!! Thank you.
@JulieWarren2 жыл бұрын
Hi Patricia, I have two dolls houses and shall only renovate each of them once, then move onto a new project. With my current dolls house, that you'll see here on KZbin, I started again as I'd left it for quite a while without doing anything to it, and when I came back to it, wasn't happy with the decoration. I shall keep my completed houses and hope, one day, to hold an exhibition of them. It's really up to you what you do with them when complete, either sell them or keep them as a collection - it can depend on whether you have the space! :)
