I think the people of Rome certainly thought so, the Republic was corrupt and the inequality had gone past tolerance, like a certain other republic lately.... I believe Caesar planned to retire to a peripheral province which would have been a much more stable outcome.

This is another master piece, it's my second favorite next to, "the man in the tower". I've always heard the saying, "beware the ides of march." but had no idea where it was from.
