It’s hard to want a person on your team, when they are separating the team itself. Its not a one person team but this is what CC fans are saying without saying it, is she is the star of the WNBA, there are plenty of other good players. The media and her fans are creating problems for her

@@lulabellelewis1507Let's be honest, any men's team would want a great player on their team. You don't want it only if you're jealous. They seem to feel threatened by Clark. Maybe they just didn't have to draft her if they didn't need a player like her.

Totally agree - Caitlin is a game changing player who runs and sees the floor like no other. She needs a team built with players who can run the court, pass unselfishly and shoot the ball well. Her bigs are slow and poor passers and screeners (except for Temi who is hurt) and Mitchell (who is a good shooter) is a selfish player who does not pass the ball and the other guard is a horrible shooter and decision maker. I have seen enough to conclude that either the Fever decide to revamp their team to suit Caitlin’s skills of running the court and passing unselfishly or she needs to make a decision about where she wants to be.

How pathetic is the Indiana Fever? I watched a short clip of Clark passing the ball, running to the inside and then out to the top of the key, 3 Mystics went to cover Clark and left Mitchell wide open for 3. Shows how much disdain the Mystics have for the other Fever players.

This whole thing is not about CC. It is about the WNBA, its coaches and the Commissioner. If instead of CC it was another rookie who was as popular as CC, they would treat her the same way , particularly if she was white and straight. You see, the problem isn't CC, but the coaches, the Commissioner, and many of the players. Here's a question to ask all players on the women's Olympic team and the WNBA players, and their sycophants in the media: which would you prefer.... (1) to have CC on the Olympic team and not win the gold, but get everything you've wanted ( much more fame, popularity, viewership, money and perks) or (2) leave CC off the Olympic team, and win the gold, but get no more fame, popularity, viewership, money or perks. Yes, that's exactly my thinking too. In addition, C. Clark is bringing millions of eyeballs (i.e., money) to the WNBA. Many of the viewers who had never watched an WNBA game will become long term viewers and/or even begin going to WNBA games. The Olympics will be there for her in 4 years after she has been the biggest significant factor in the growth of the league. (Yes, a non-white C. Clarke with identical skills would not be having the same impact. It isn't quite racism in this situation but people tend to be at least somewhat "tribal" for better or for worse).

This is the thing Caitlin chose this league when other offers to play elsewhere were offered to her. Those associated to the Big3 believed Caitlin joining the WNBA was "ground breaking" but if she had joined the Big3 it would have been "Earth Shattering." I believe she would have been well accepted and respected there. These are Caitlin's choices. She chooses to be nonchalant when pressed about the plays, the words said about her and blatant disrespect and discrediting of her obvious skill and talent. The fans can't fight her fight and effectuate change in the WNBA. If that were even a reality the whole league from top down would need to be revamped. That will never happen. Those who love Caitlin will not get rid of women who truly dislike and are jealous of Caitlin. They will always exist. To be honest it's not fair that one side can clean house or get their way because their favorite person is getting treated badly. Caitlin is the only person who can do anything and if she wants to be disrespected, abused and left out. That is her choice. All of us also have a choice and that is if you want to continue to support the WNBA. Understand supporting Caitlin supports the league you dont care for. So basically removing your financial support and viewership is the only real option. Just support Caitlin in spirit. She is a tough girl and will figure it out.

I still say to look at the numbers of how many watching now as to how many were watching in 2022 per game. At 42 years old she has had decades to help grow the game and failed miserably. Caitlin has helped grow the watching average times 3 in 12 games. I saw a report that 3 NBA players came into the olympic teams as rookies so it's not unprecedented.

I watched the NBA when it was a sport that was watchable, 2000 and before, and I watched the following lay eggs in games at the prime of their career. And if professional players were allowed to play in the Olympics in the year that Larry Bird joined the league, would the great Julius Irving have recommended that Mr. Bird sit out the Olympics to "protect him", like he is claiming to try and protect Caitlin? The answer is an absolute no. Julius has one set of rule for blacks, one set of rules for whites and one set of rules for women. Draw your own conclusions.

The Rookie year is a time for adjustment. To this point Caitlins weakness turnovers which is partly due to butter fingers and possibly a adjustment with the velocity to players who are not use to her skill with feeding the ball. Her assists speak for themselves. She may need to avoid rushed shots again may be due to others blocking out for her. My suggestion to Caitlin, keep believing in yourself and play under the control you can handle. She did make 3 crucial assists to Boston when the score tightened up and that was the game changer. She is so much more than making 3`s.
@jayvega9641
@jayvega9641 3 ай бұрын
Nope Joey, it’s not ‘butter fingers’, it’s when your coach has you playing point when in reality you are a shooter. It’s when you are being pressed and blitzed like no other player in the history of the game. She gets blitzed in a way that even future hall of famers don’t get blitzed. They sure as hell don’t want this girl to score which in itself is not a crime. The question lies on why her coach got her playing point? Why her coaching doesn’t run staggered screens for her to shoot ON SET PLAYS? Caitlin is one the best shooters and scorers in the game and she is reduced to a facilitator? Fever coach got sum explaining to do.
