Greatest small forward of that era ! Could do anything with the ball . Palm off the dribble , face up on bigger players , grab rebounds & score , score , score !

I remember the game well. Sixers were my favorite team, even before Dr. J, joined them. Great memories that first year.

I lived in Illinois at the time. I was listening to the game on WOAI San Antonio. I was sitting in my mother's car waiting for my sister to come out from work. I had been a Spurs fan in they began in 1967 as the Dallas Chaparrals. I was nervous and excited the whole game, being their first game in the NBA after 9 years in the ABA. The Spurs basically the same team from the year before except for Louie Dampier. I remember I couldn't sleep that night I was so excited still after the game.

So many ABA names in that boxscore. Lucus, Dampier, so many of the Spurs who came from the ABA.
