Mining, particularly iron ore, diamonds and rutile, have led to economic growth in recent years.
But despite its natural wealth, 60 percent of the population live in poverty.
President Julius Maada Bio came to power in 2018, determined to fight corruption and turn things around.
So, after more than two years in office, is he succeeding?

When people failed to elect good leaders, they tend to elect a failure who didn't have enough leadership and management skills that will transform the mindset of the people, bring in reforms and set a pace that will reflect the future of the country. In this 21st century, a country should have a great leader that has critical thinking in management, the growth of the country and use it natural resources to rebuild the country. But, he's government is spending money on unnecessary things that are irrelevant to the country. He lacks the intuitive thinking. He's not fit to be a leader. He's just rambling and complicating himself in the whole scenario of the interview.

The problem in our education system has been perennial and cannot be fixed and realized in less than 3 years or so. The New Direction Administration of His Excellency President Bio is working on a long project to clean up the system (making sure that pupils get what they merit or deserve) and building a foundation for beginners thus ensure that in a decade we get the best into our Universities and Tertiary Institutions.

I am a Sierra Leonean and I'll say for a fact that the current adminstration under the stewardship of H.E Bio is far better than his predecessors. It obvious that the country like many other countries in Africa is going thru economic crisis that's largely a result of the the civil war, ebola epidemic, the covid-19 pandemic and above all massive corruption. However, the fight against corruption under this regime has been prioritized and not normalized in contrast to the previous regimes. Tho there's still so much work to be done. Sierra Leone is a country that's largely polarized between regional and political lines. The President must ensure that he erase those lines by unifying the country under peace, stability, inclusive governance and economic opportunities.
