100% correct, we were very fortunate to have only gotten the seas, shudder to think of what the wind and sea conditions would have done to our little rock. Our Caribbean neighbors are in our prayers as the were confronted with all of the elements 🙏🏼

I was at Worthing beach this November gone and walked down the board walk with all the lovely flowers and vegetation. It looks so different now, but I hope things become better than they were before. . I’m very sad over what is happening in the Caribbean. Bajans did get off lightly compared to Union Island and Martinique, and what is going to happen in Jamaica and other islands. I hope to come back to Bim as my family are out here.

It is indeed sad and yes we got off a lot better that our western neighbors, thankfully so as we are able to send supplies and assistance their way. We are praying for their strength and well being 🙏🏼

I was there in 2017 the beach has half gone! Some form of see defence will need to be built!!

@DavidEdghill-or4ti it would be difficult to build anything to protect the shoreline against what we experienced. The sand is off shore or on the northern end of the beaches, so as soon as we have a north swell and surge, it should start to rebuild. Yes, all of the beaches are about 1/2 size at the moment.

I am sorry all those boats were destroyed but people have to learn to think for themselves you can't let people lead you this should have got their boats toward on land to a safe place.. the ocean is a very good servant but an awful master... You mean not one single soul couldn't even think about bringing their hard-earned labour which is there bought they're bought to a safe place on land...

I am not too aufait with all of the circumstances, however I do know that this fishing facility was supposedly designed to be safe refuge, obviously a flaw or miscalculation in the design or an underestimation in the power of nature at this level. Whatever the cause, this is extremely sad situation
