Absolutely beautiful, so pretty. It's making me want to try weeklies in my reading journal if I can work out a way to fit them in. Congrats to the lucky winner :)

Thank you thank you thank you for including the spacing for everything! I have wanted to try bullet journaling for so long but I am not good at figuring all of that out. I appreciate this so much!! Also never even realized the difference between spaces and dots when counting until you said that. ❤

I love your mystery journal and I can only imagine the joy it brings to the lucky winner. I also prefer vertical list. Horizontal is for more “ verbose “ use.😅 Love to set up square weekly that you can decorate in the empty space but the squares are a little bit to small. I will have to try your last weekly set up.

Loved this theme, new grid spacing guide so good! I prefer horizontal layouts, but that’s because I use my journal for memory keeping, not planning.

These spreads are so dang pretty! To answer your question: I'm a horizontal girlie! Vertical layouts fry my brain to be honest. But I don't set weeklies in my BuJo. Only dailies.
@selbarton3 ай бұрын
I do verticals because I leave space for tasks at the top and timed schedules the rest of the way. It saves needing a daily page most of the time while giving me a visual of my available time.

Love this! Erin, the next time you set up your spending log, could you film your setup before the pen? And perhaps how you use the information you track? Also on Horizontal weeklies, I like a vertical list but a Horizontal weekly is fantastic for tasks you need to prioritise and or delegate

I’ve been doing a grid layout for my weekly setups lately - mine are 15 squares both vertically/horizontally and that fits a week nicely in my B5 journal, with a couple space between each box

I am new to this channel so forgive me but if it's a 2024 journal and someone wins it, how could they use it? Wouldn't the year already be gone? Still gorgeous though ❤
@ErinSmith3 ай бұрын
Such a good question! So I actually set up alllll the setups - from July right through to December - throughout May and June that just passed. I mailed the journal to the winner last week, so they will have it to use for the rest of the year! But everyone else has to wait to see the setups as I release them each month 😉 then in October and November I’ll set up the next one, run a new giveaway, and the cycle begins again!

Hi Erin, I am new to your channel and have been watching a lot of your videos. I have been sick for the past 8 months and am using craft to help me during me recovery. I'm in Brisbane as well. I would like to start to get into journalling like you. Where would you recommend buying a journal, washi tape and stickers in Brisbane? I'm on the Northside not far from the city. Do you buy most of your things online? Also, I have seen you use what looks like paper, then you tear it and stick it to the journal. What is that paper called? I have never seen anything like that. I only have cardstock and it would be too thick for a journal. Thank you for your advice. I really love what you do. My handwriting at the moment is terrible, so hoping to make a journal like yours with the embellishments. :)

Hi Juliet! You’re in luck - we have some excellent stationery resources in Brisbane! If you’re planning to just dip your toe in and see how you like the journal experience, Kmart or Officeworks are both a great place to start for a dot grid journal that won’t break the bank. Kmart have a great range of washi and stickers too. If you’d prefer to go hard and get a really nice journal with thicker paper, I recommend a visit to Stash World in Fortitude Valley. They’re a dedicated stationery store (also online!) and the staff are really knowledgable and so lovely! And for another great stickers and washi tape resource, you can’t go past Daiso - there’s one in Chermside and two in the city. Their stationery section is great, and you can get some lovely pens and glue tapes and paper there too! Usually when I’m using paper, it’s ‘scrapbooking’ paper (although I try to find a thin option - traditional scrapbooking paper is quite thick which bulks up a journal but online stores like Journalsay sell some thin scrapbooking papers too). I’ve also been known to use origami paper (Daiso is great for that!), wrapping paper and repurposed packaging from online orders too when it’s pretty! 🤣 Also Spotlight, Lincraft and Kaisercraft sometimes have some really cool stickers - worth a look! Happy journaling 🥰

@@ErinSmith Thank you so much for your lovely reply Erin. All your advice is so helpful 🥰. I had wondered if Daiso had supplies. I do shop at Chermside, so when I'm feeling better, I'm going to have a good wander around at Daiso. I'll also look at Kmart and Officeworks. I love your suggestion of repurposing the packaging too. Some packaging is so beautiful. Stash World sounds amazing and worth a trip when I'm up to it, or perhaps I might order online. I love that you are in Brisbane. No-one is ever from Brisbane 🤣. I just want to thank you for your videos. They have been really lovely to watch while I recover. They are so relaxing and inspiring. Your work is just beautiful and has really given me heaps of inspiration and something to look forward to doing. I really appreciate you taking the time to respond and so quickly. I was so happy to receive your reply and will take on all your advice for finding supplies 👍. Thank you so much! Have a great day. Juliet 🙂
