The fireworks in LA were going on and on ALL night. I watched it from the rooftop of my building- the sky was lit up, it was beautiful and powerful. We celebrated Independence Day, from every backyard, every street block, every rooftop! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Probably 10 years ago I was in LA for the 4th, (which is my favorite holiday) and it was better than anywhere else I've been. Last year 2019 in New York was cool. But nothing beats LA and the constant fireworks surrounding you from the rooftops. Truly amazing, and super cool from the sky. Thanks Micah!! Much love from Michigan!

This is so beautiful, and I'm not just talking about the fireworks. This is pure American spirit which belongs to every American. I live in the ghetto of my city in the Midwest and it was the same here. I've never seen firework stands sell out so fast and they went non-stop from 8pm to 2am (they usually start at 9pm and stop at 10pm). We are not a rich or even middle class people in my community, but the air was thick with black smoke like we were in a war zone and the message was clear...we love and celebrate America.

"No place does 4th of July fireworks like Los Angeles but 2020 was off the charts". That was unbelievable Micah! I have never seen so many fireworks being shot up from so many places at the same time. So much so that there was quite the layer of 'fireworks smog' at low altitude. Truly amazing! I don't know what altitude you were flying, nor how high the highest fireworks can go, but what if one of them hit your helicopter? Would it be disastrous? With so many lights and flashes of light how can you see birds that might be in flight - scared into the air by the fireworks? I really appreciate you doing this flight for us as I would never have believed it. Thank you!!

Actually checked Flightradar24 during the fireworks to see if helicopters were flying (yes, but very few), were avoiding any areas (didn't seem like it) or were at a higher altitude than normal (no one lower than 500'). Main thing noticed was planes landing at LAX were coming in over the ocean instead of over land.
