Jumanji: The Animated Series | Tortoise Transformation

Judy lies and trades a broken watch to Trader Slick in exchange for a get-out-of-Jumanji-free card. As punishment, time halts back in the outside world, some Jumanji creatures invade, and Peter is gradually turned into a humanoid tortoise.
While dealing with the time-challenged Brantford, he develops a large shell that slightly hinders his movement, and his voice deepens, the words coming out more slowly. Unconvinced by Alan's praise for Peter's new shell, they resolve to return to the game to retrieve Judy's watch.
As they head back to Jumanji (ignoring the continuity slip), he grows a beaklike snout, his hair starts to recede, and his limbs begin to look a bit stockier. They strike up a deal with Trader Slick to get Judy's broken watch back, but must trade him the kind of hat only worn by the deadly hunter Van Pelt.
Night falls as they reach the hunter's lodge, by which point Peter's transformation is complete. His hair has shrunken into a short tuft, his ears have receded, his neck and snout have grown longer, and he sprouts a tortoise tail for the hole in the bottom of his shell. On the plus side, the trio discover a few handy uses for said shell as it proves both protective and surprisingly buoyant, aiding them well in their further misadventures.
By the time they solve the clue, he seems fairly well adjusted to his new form, his sentences coming more smoothly, and he's even ready to throw hands with the slimy trader for his constant reneging of their deals.

Yes, with three whole seasons from 1996-1999, and a proper conclusion. It featured the players going into the world of Jumanji well before the newer films. In my opinion, it also had far more creative and intriguing worldbuilding.
