I lost my father in January this year. When I was around 10 years old we went to Alaska on a family trip. I’ll never forget the salmon fishing I did with him. King salmon and saukeye salmon. I remember hooking into a Saukeye at the edge of the river and almost getting pulled in. I’ll never forget the taste of the salmon that we smoked. To this day when I have smoked salmon it reminds me of being in Alaska with him. I’m 37 years old now. RIP dad.

Wow, I'm going through pretty much of the same thing as you Doug. Did you have any hip replacements yet? I had my left one done in February and I'm going for pre-op appointments currently for the right. I have a pretty decent walker though, and I went out and got a freshwater fishing license. I can sit there on my walker and fish, but it's not the easiest thing to do, I know like the bass are hiding down at the other end by lily pads or something but there's no way I could get there because the terrain's impossible, so I feel you brother!

Hey Mr. Frank and hey Robert!! Well wishes and humble greetings from Northeast Alabama here. I watch your channel just about every day at work while tests are running and ect. It gets quite loud during shifts so when I saw this new vid I wanted to wait until I got home so I could relax and hear it before I watched it lol. I am beyond glad that I did. It is so important to humble one’s self. We all get down in the dumps from time to time. And more often than not, it’s over things that, in the grand scheme of life, really don’t even matter. Frank you have touched and reached so many humans on Gods wonderful creation. I don’t know you from Adam (lol as we say here in the south) but you too have inspired me to slow down, pray, relax, and never take for granted the countless blessings that I have been given, even when I didn’t deserve them. Rob you truly are an 😇 doing Gods work, the random acts if kindness that you do for ppl you don't even know to bless their day and life by putting a smile on their face, in their heart and on their soul so they can feel and enjoy a normal moment by taking them out whatever bad, hard, painful times may being enduring in life.. it is so very true that our 2mrws, even next second, are not promised... my mom is having radiation right at this very moment for a 2nd kind and area of cancer... we are both in very bad health with diabetes, heart issues (her with stints and open heart me with heart failure with a defibrillator) me with fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, need hip replacement unable to take a step on my own etc.. be thankful for every second that you have live life to the fullest doing what you love and makes you happy but ya never know when your not able to do those things anymore.. tell/show and spend time with the ppl ya love that you do cuz there will come a time when you won't be able to do so.. someone very close to me is in ICU fighting for his life as was beat up, we are unsure ad too why or how, all we can do is pray that we all can get better to be able to live to the best and fullest possible.. sorry for the novel... thx Rob for being and doing all that you are to bring joy to others, for genuinely caring about all of us out here!!

I always enjoy watching this channel because Robert takes time to connect our hobby and passion to real human stories.
