In an alternate timeline, Sonic Adventure 1 & 2 was actually Mario Adventure 1 & 2 where there were more characters to play as in a mainline Mario game that's not just Mario and Luigi and Yoshi. Like in Adventure 2, Wario or Waluigi take the place of Shadow. As for Mario Odyssey, it was Sonic Odyssey in the place of Cappy, Sonic wears new shoes that are alive and have a literal pun of "you don't want to be in their shoes" maybe call them Shoe-y's where Sonic wears the clothes and shoes of whoever Shoe-y 1 and 2 choose. Of course, Eggman doesn't marry Amy since she's not only a hedgehog but also too young. Instead Amy just wears a wedding dress throughout the game. This mashup is the closest thing to a franchise game swicharoo
