I have this radio and it is doing well so far, it is super comfortable and excellent to learn at home, both in simulators and in home drones. For long range and outdoors I intend to use the Radiomaster tx16 once I learn well, since I am just entering this wonderful world of drones. Greetings from Chile, following all your videos.

Hi: is it sold out everywhere currently or has it been discontinued? Sometimes things that are discontinued only are marked as out of stock or back ordered. So, do you know if this is actually sold out and coming back or has it been discontinued. I know this sounds like a dumb question but things really happen as I described: ie some air planes that show sold out have long been discontinued. So, this is why I am asking. thx.
@AlbertKimTV2 жыл бұрын
I don't know for sure 100% but I think it is or will be soon discontinued since none of the stores are planning to restock it. Also, there's a lot of new radios coming out so that could be the reason why.

I also think the T-Lite is great. It has completely replaced my QX7. Unfortunately, the range of the CC2500 module is very poor and I had several crashes due to fail saves. However, I was planning to use TBS Tracer anyway. This works with 100mW without power mod and the range is great. The quality for this price is really great.
@AlbertKimTV3 жыл бұрын
Regarding the range, you do need to calibrate the tuning of the tx with the fine freq setting in the model and it will vary by receiver. You can then use the RSSI values to find the right values to give you the best range. I mentioned this problem with my XM+ receivers not binding and this was in one of the first videos I made.

Hey Albert, I'm starting to really enjoy fpv, and am looking for a good fpv controller to get me started (current quad is more toy grade and came rtf). I prefer the gamepad style grips, and am looking for a radio that is cheap (i'm on a pretty tight budget), and will hopefully last me a while. I have watched a few of your videos on this radio, and am aware about the issues using external modules, and some coming faulty, and the other few, but do you think that this radio is the best choice (definately wanting to keep below 100 quid)? Thanks 👍

Yes! No issue with the T-lite so far.
@AlbertKimTV3 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I'm sure there are lots of people who have perfectly good working T-Lite radios. I just think the 10% or so who have issues make comments claiming that their experience will be the same with everyone and that's simply a serious exaggeration. I'm not defending Jumper in any way here. Their QC is pretty poor but that is where the cost cutting went. Apparently when they look at the FPV community they have declared the side who want cheap AF FPV gear the "winners" and the quality junkies the "losers". Basically, the cheapskates make way more noise than the quality gurus. So they listen to what the market wants. Even with all the quality issues, this radio still outsells the Tango2 about 20 to 1 by the sales metrics I've been told by certain retailers. Also, based on sales figures, they know they can get away with this practice so they will continue to do so. People just need to understand this is how the world works and make the proper adjustments to deal with it. In other words, buy multiple back ups like I did. LOL.

Do you also have some gimbal center drifting with temperature changes? My tango 2 was doing it, and my T12(same gimbals as the tlite) is doing it too. My +8 year old x9d doesn't do it even after all these years. Maybe newer gimbals use cheaper magnets, don't know what causes it.
