That's exactly what I thought when I saw this video the first time

Also thought this. It reminds me of when I have dreams where I realize I can fly and always could fly.

@@pigeon3264 I love running in dreams then slowly lifting off the ground ….I’ve also found that being aware of flying hampers my ability to fly….also I could never fly above human bodies…only above natural/inanimate textures ….🤔

I'm from Croatia and I remember I've seen this on TV, long, long time ago. It looked somehow strange to me in that time, but even then I understand that the jumping was a metaphore for the progres in sience and technology of mankind, but also a warning that it may finish badly (it was period of cold war and the fear of nuclear holocaust has been present constantly).

The world was astonished by the fact that the entire film was shot in a single cut, with 4,000 moving images, and the film won numerous awards. Staff Original Idea, Structure, Direction : Osamu Tezuka Producer: Takayuki Matsutani Animation: Junji Kobayashi Sound Effects : Shizuo Kurahashi Assistant Producer : Minoru Kubota Winner of the Grand Prix and the UNESCO Award at the 6th Zagreb International Animated Film Festival Winner of the Silver Ears Award at the Valladolid International Film Festival in 1985

Wow! Tutto disegnato a mano, senza supporti tecnologici !!!
@prosnake20058 ай бұрын
🤦🏻♂️ they had the tech of their time to support them. Now animated movies, even shorts, can be vastly more ambitious than this because we have more technical capabilities. Tezuka was an innovator but if he had been from a younger generation you bet he'd have used advanced tech for his projects.

Japanese is highly heterogeneous meaning that a society where the japanese ethnic group dominates everything from the social interactions to everything in the media they see is everytging japanese. its not necesarily racist neither xenophobic since those terms aren't used in japan because japan never had any issues related with race like in the west. They simply never encounter it in the first place because again country is highly heterogeneous but japanese are quiet respectful towards foreigners in general except work bosses which they are the only racist thing you can find in japan

I don't see how this movie is anti-war. Sounds like a projection on your end. This movie however is pro-FE. So I think we should update Tezuka's biography to reflect that.
