I can bet you that you gotta customize the rail cars and equip wheels there. Ive come across some modded vehicles and such that were missing wheels or a whole transmission and had to add it using that customize menu. So give that a shot? Obviously you wouldn't equip regular wheels and tires so maybe check what the wheels are called on the train and find those for the train carts

Wheel slippage is a big problem with trains if a lot or power is given at once. I was wondering if it would happen in the game.. judging by the "race train"… I guess not. Lol

The race train probably has altered wheel friction. Trains wheel slip because steel on steel sucks for friction.

The race train actually has weel slip, the wheel speef goes up to a high number just before he gears up, meaning wheel slip

Those trains basically have a giant electric generator that powers the whole train.. the diesel motor is only there to turn the generator. That giant alternator basically, would be harder to get through than the motor

Trains don't have a gearbox in the way that you think, they have traction motors, so the sooner you increase 'gear' (throttle notch) the faster you go

Fun fact almost every diesel or fossil-fuel locomotive made in the last 90 or so years don't have gears in the traditional sense and instead use the fossil fuels just to spin a generator which then Powers electric motors directly
