When we caught up with Detroit Air Jordan enthusiast JumpmanBostic, he broke down what his 882 pair sneaker collection is worth, which he estimated to be well over the $100K range.

I estimate it all worth closer to half a million if anything easy pe's,packs,clothes etc.. it all adds up quickly imo I wouldn't let it all god for less than that. But as he said he isn't in it for the resell value it his hobby so much respect to him for that.

My favorite well known sneaker fan. The rest of them are hypebeasts, literally going through their collection talking about how they don't like certain shoes they have but got them because they're limited. Bostic sticks to what he likes and doesn't care about a limited Asic, Saucony, Adidas etc.

I've been watching a few video collectors via this channel, and I've wondered why Adidas isn't collected as much as the Nike/Jordans, why is this? Is it the hype or the value, because I'm a Sneaker (trainer UK) wearer, I don't always buy a shoe based upon its rarity, but more on its comfort and nostalgia, I grew up with Nike and Adidas as a kid in the late 70s, 80s, and the 90s and now as become about revisiting my heroes of the sneaker world, and Adidas have started to make re-issues and even released a prototype running shoe from the 70s that I only read about last year....(I have them on order) and I plan to wear them....I love and admire the Nike range, but for me personally I think its an over saturated market, I mean I can't count the amount of Jordans there are, so by that very issue, I'm intimidated by them. But as I've said I'm a wearer not a collector...so I guess my current sneaker wardrobe could do with a solid pair of Nike...I like the collaboration with Poler with their SB collection, with those browns and natural colours that look good with anything, those I on my target list, if I can get them at a fair price....

That is true, but all that does is purely increase the prices of the shoes, like I said in my original post, I like to wear my shoes, rather than just stare at them in a box, plus being in my 40s, Nike just seem a younger shoe, marketed towards a differing demographic in terms of using its sports stars to sell more shoes. I watch the Round Two channel, and have noticed the price of the Ultra Boost and NMD range exceed their rrrp...but then Adidas have Kanye, and those Yeezys are a bone of contention with a few of the shoe collectors.
