The dopamine rush I get from jumping rope is what got me hooked. I also look at jump rope as one of my creative outlets or hobbies, which allows me to look forward to my workouts rather than dreading it. I started about 2 years ago and I’m thankful for all the tips this channel has provided me along the way.

There’s something about jump rope/skipping that is so much better than any other exercise. It’s quick, effective, easy when you get the hang of it, portable, cheap, the mental benefits are insane - it’s like you get smarter. So glad I do it, partly down to you my dude!

I love your videos Dan! For me personally, I still jump rope because it was my only company when I was rock bottom back in 2022, all the covid stuff, family and financial issues, isolation, depression and many setbacks, and whenever I jump rope, it’s a reminder to be tough and always push through no matter what.

Today I decided to do one of your beginners workouts and increased it from my usual 1 round to 3 rounds. And after i felt pretty good and think I will try it again. Music and 15 instead of 10 second rest intervals helped. Thanks for the inspiration Dan.

It's been 3 years for me since I've jumped roping and loving it, and it has changed my physics and also has helped me with explosive moves like muscle up and elevated heel squats!

Dan, you have no idea how impactful this video has been for me. What you're doing with your channel is truly inspiring. I am 42 years old and live in Brazil. Jumping rope has utterly transformed my physique and, consequently, my life. In one year, I've lost 13 kilograms and reduced my body fat percentage from 19% to the current 11%. Nowadays, I jump rope four times a week for 35 minutes. However, I'll need to increase it to five times a week because on days I don't jump rope, I feel unwell. I'm completely addicted. Jumping rope has become a habit. I also want to mention that I live in Rio de Janeiro and surf here whenever I can. It's incredible how jumping rope has improved my surfing. I get less tired, have much better balance, and, being lighter and stronger, my paddling and drop have significantly improved. Thank you so much for the work you do. Lastly, I want to say that even though I live in Brazil, I purchased a Crossrope, which is far superior to those available here. The import tax is high, but it was worth every cent.

Iv been jumping rope consistently for 7 years and have been doing a lot more high knee sprint intervals lately.. it’s just such an easy way to sprint instead of trying to find a good stretch of flat ground and you don’t have to worry about a surprise hole in the ground that’ll mess your shit up

I started the day 1 of the jump rope challenge today. It really pushed me 😅. I'm very excited for this journey. It's all about being more fit and healthy for me. Im getting married in September so I definitely want to be healthier and more fit by then.

Dude, slow down - for anyone else seeing this - start with say 3 x 1 min rounds (even 3 x 30 seconds if that's all you can do). And have 'rest & repair' days in between. Your calfs will soon adapt, as will your lungs! Then you can move on to longer and a higher number of rounds...

I started jumping rope because every time I did weights lifting, running or going to the gym I ended up stressing because I thought that I was wasting a lot of time of my day for example doing a gym workout of 2 hours, for me that time is too much to spend in just doing exercise, now i normally do 30 minutes workouts 3 to 4 days per week and sometimes i feel motivated to do larger workouts or adding lifting exercises. It is honestly too simple and effective for my style of life.

I suffer from mild depression, so I'm hoping this will help with that, plus I need to lose about 65 pounds (especially some in my stomach area). Something tells me that once I get started jumping rope, there will be no turning back. This is one thing I'd love to become addicted to!!

I’ve noticed that the number of views on this channel and other jump rope channels have declined. I also hear/see a lot less about jump ropes elsewhere on social media. Some possible explanations: 1) jump rope was a fad and like all fads, it passed 2) as an exercise, jump rope couldn’t “compete” with other things like weight training, running, cycling and yoga. Thus, it couldn’t form a large enough base of regular viewership 3) People who’ve already mastered jump rope don’t feel the need to revisit these channels

jump rope was my favorite sport when i was kid, but after this i had long time brake, i start now again 10 days ago, but my shins start pain, your advise help me, now i am doing my jump rope with one day brake and my shins feels better, i did't gave up, i hope my legs will become strong and i will do this every day. ❤❤❤

I’m a 65 year old F. A trainer said I should do a more “age appropriate “ exercise when I told him of my intention to start skipping rope. I’m not listening to him. I just started a couple of weeks ago…very slowly. I’m using a beaded rope they have at the gym. I can hardly wait to get my own!
