That's an Andes 25F made by Suzuki. It's a "Recorder Keyboard" that has a series of pitch tubes inside of it. It's the same instrument that Hirokazu Ando plays on the Kirby's Epic Yarn OST!

I don't think it's fair to say one takes more talent than the other. It is two, very different, and highly talented approaches to similar styles of music. I would rather say that these videos are exceptional, and I admire PPF's drive to learn the instruments. SMG's videos are what led me here after all.
