The best thing I do is take Fan's nuggets of wisdom and then watch my own replays to notice if I am making those mistakes. Step two is feel bad about myself. Step 3 is not make that mistake again.

I love everything about this. I have to imagine the reason that bronze players are better than plats is because plats are like dehaka here. Zero macro strategy carries you only so far. Bronze players seem to be skilled, and understand the concept of win conditions, they must only play occasionally so they don't level up.
