After new capenna there has been a lot more variety with commanders, not saying you ran into the same commanders every game before but quite a lot more now

Like ziatora but the lack of card draw still puts korvold ahead but atleast the match-ups seemed better than running korvold

Card draw vs mana generation

@@Bonzomad 3 mana once per turn cycle during end step vs an absurd amount of card draw. Draw from fetch lands, draw from treasures, draw from sac outlets, etc. Korvold even has a lower CMC. It’s not close.

@@baconsir1159 eh, card draw is available, even creatures in this deck draw on sac trigger. Korvold doesnt replace himself on mana, so against any removal I'll be harder to replay. People like drawing cards but the golos like ramp ability is undervalued. I think ziatoras got more legs and is prob underplayed compared.

@@Bonzomad I promise you, drawing 10+ cards every turn on a trigger you can control is much MUCH stronger than making 3 treasures every turn cycle during your end step. To even be comparable it’d have to be Pitiless Plunderer on top of the fling effect. It’s not a bad card but Korvold is one of, if not THE strongest commander in any power level below CEDH. Dude’s legit insane.
