Though Janine,Sam,Alfie and Ricky came back,its changing the ambiance but it will never be like 20 years ago with Lynn,Little Mo,Gary,Charlie,Zoe,Anthony,Paul,Laura(R.I.P),Jamie(R.I.P),Carly,Preeti,Tanya,Ronnie and Roxy(R.I.P),Chrissie,Dennis(R.I.P),the Milliers,Bepe and the Di Marcos,Steve,Matthew,Mel Liza.

I once wrote in to a magazine asking for Sonia's tiara for my sister's wedding. They agreed. I can't remember why they didn't give it to me (I think they wanted me to go to London for a photo shoot or something as a winner and being 17 I couldn't be arsed). I kind of regret it now but wish i'd gone.

Sonja and Martin should have gone on thru the ceremony married already or not. Only let the person performing the ceremony know that you already are married. Pauline & Dot went thru so much trouble. Sonja & Martin had their way by eloping so now go ahead and enjoy what they wanted you to have instead of being so upset and adding unnecessary drama.

@Enoch-nn1id Sonja & Martin didn't mind getting their help when they needed it. Even tho Dot & Pauline took over the ceremony, they were doing something they thought was nice for people they loved. 2 immature young people who were basically incapable of being completely on their own. If they didn't want any input or interference, it would have been better if they were completely self sufficient, live on their own. Having a separate ceremony for the people who loved & cared for them shouldn't have been that difficult. They still got married how they wanted to, eloping. It didn't help them stay together. Martin had an affair, Sonja had an affair, they got divorced, and the marriage didn't last.

Jim was a racist when he came to the show and carol and Alan her black husband got married. But he seemed to have changed when he came back and friends with Patrick. He left Carol his daughter's wedding for marrying a black man. In the end he loved his mixed race grandson Billy but Carol and he had a tough relationship so she had unresolved issues with him. He was very straight talking like her and she said he didn't love Billy. He locked poor max up as a kid for having a black friend so he was racist. Don't know if he truly changed. Hopefully
