I read Hide and oh my goodness, what a block of Swiss cheese shit with all the plot holes. Awful book. I so want to get my hands on The Bone Orchard, the cover is absolutely stunning

I am excited for a lot of these books 😃 Hidden Pictures was really good. I would say that it's right in the middle of being a thriller and horror novel. It's kind of like Simone St James where it feels a bit like a thriller but with ghosts 😂 btw, If The Shoe Fits is also a fat girl romance and it actually sounds very similar to the book you mentioned in your video

I love MG horror and the Small Spaces books, too! I just read Dark Waters this month. Empty Smiles (the last book) either just came out or is coming out in July. I bet you would like Thirteens by Kate Alice Marshall and the rest of that series if you haven't read it yet.

I have always been a Holly Black fan. Tithe, Valiant, and Ironside are in my top 5 series of all time. The grungy, underground, yet magical, atmosphere she creates is something that not many can pull off. However, I am currently reading The Book of Night and it is definitely not her best work, but it's not terrible. The atmosphere of BON is a throwback to her White Cat trilogy - which had a completely different feel than her faerie books. If you love Holly's faerie books and are expecting the same type of style and atmosphere going into book of night, you will be disappointed. If I am going to critique it... (I'm about 50 pages from the end, mind you) I will say that I think she tried too hard to be adult. The writing comes off info dumpy at times and the pacing is quite slow. There is also a lot of teen anst in it even though the MC is not a teenager anymore. MC is quite unlikable at times but I'm unsure if that was done on purpose or not. All in all, unless the end wows me, I'm giving it 3 stars. I don't hate it, but it's not what I expected from her. It's like she was nervous for her adult debut and it showed throughout her writing.

I actually enjoyed Book of Night, the con artist aspect took over the shadow magic but it was interesting. Also the main character gives strong Alex Stern vibes!

I actually really liked The Book of Night. Don't expect it to be super fast paced, but I thought focusing on her character was unique, and if it's part of a series then I'm excited to see what comes next. I was definitely in a reading slump before this. Give it a go. You also might hate it, who knows haha

talking about (The Diviners), if you like this series you should try (Ace of Shades) by Amanda Foody , the characters seem more mature to me as I was reading it last year btw the Hardback cover for this series is stunnig.

I read Book of Night. The beginning made me want to DNF it and I really could not get into it. The middle got interesting when the MC became who she should have been from the start. The end. I kinda really liked the end. BUT, the big but of it all, was the end really good because it was really good or just because it was better than the beginning? Don't know, but I rated it high anyway hehe.

I am almost finished reading: Hidden Pictures by Jason Rekulak and ohhhh no spoilers but this book is definitely a page turner. I have Hide on my TBR stack and plan on reading it. I plan to read Survivor by: J.F. Gonzalez and I heard it this is a really messed up book but I am excited to read it.

Sorry but I’m a big NO for “The Book of Night.” The premise sounded so good and I was so excited to read but after starting it and then restarting it, I DNF’d it about half way through. The problem for me wasn’t the writing (I actually thought the writing was fantasy) - my problem was the magic system. It was insanely confusing! She tries to explain things as the plot progresses and so you constantly feel like you’re playing catch up. It’s a no for me, don’t read it!
