I had never seen June in her earlier days. She was quite a natural comedian... and utterly charming and captivating.

Lord how great they were!! This is real country music!! This is what legends are, not them pop singers calling themselves country today!! Most of them nobody will even remember their names when they’re gone and they will never be legends like the old country music singers!!

What a funny skit, June and Farron are awesome. I wish barn dances were still popular, with this style of music ofcourse!

This is super. The song was written by and regularly performed by Smiley Burnette. I think the burst of applause is due to the audience's recognition of what's going to be a fine rendition of a fine song.

I haven't ever thought June was particularly pretty, but I can see from the clip that she was actually beautiful. Johnny and June, what a special talented couple.

Some tv shows are worse in 2022. The so-called "comedy" shows now are disgusting gutter language & humour. I don't watch them.

Thing is, June was hilarious without putting on the “aw shucks” act. Her first appearance on Johnny Carson, with her husband, was just delightful and she didn’t have to clown it up at all.

I read he was in love with her! He used to write her love letters and Johnny found them and destroyed them. June said “those could’ve been worth a lot of money” and he was like “yeah” haha. Don’t quote me. It’s just something that may or may not be credible.

You know that is so funny that Johnny said he was in love with her when he was just a boy.amd for the longest time he finally gave his heart a break to love someone else.i really think had Vivian (I hope I got that right)not pushed him as hard as she did about his feelings for June then he may have just went on being with her.bc you never know what the heart really gets until the situation arises.johnny would have most likely never even thought about June being in the act until she was brought in and look she even married again after the first divorce......I really think Vivian disliked June long before anything actually happened between those two.i think that June finally said ah the hell with it.come on heart.and as any good mother and wife.she loved all of those kids as if they were hers....I really hope that Vivian found some kind of peace and a new love so that the hurt did not consume her

LOREE LEE Ah I can’t imagine not having my side of the situation told. She didn’t write her book until June died in 2003. To me I think that’s kind of dirty to wait till someone dies and then bad mouth them and they can’t defend themselves. I’m sure nobody in that situation was perfect and made mistakes. He only knew Vivian for 4 month then he was deployed for the Air Force. When he returned they got married pretty quickly. They didn’t really know each other they jumped into a marriage and then all of a sudden Vivian kept having one kid after another when they were so broke and couldn’t handle the 1 that they had. I think she thought that would straighten Johnny up but if the first kid isn’t going to do it then no matter how many you have isn’t going to work. I’m not saying she did it on purpose it just added unneeded stress to a already troubled marriage having one kid coming after another. But you still love your children anyway of course they both love their children with all their hearts all of them did it’s just a situation that sadly everybody can’t win. But I do you have empathy because that had to be hard for her to go through life seeing them on TV loving each other and being the love of country. That had to be so hard.
