So many gorgeous colors and blooms! Our bubblegums here in Houston are washed out, too, because of so much rain!

Thank you so much! Good to know not the only one struggling to keep the Supertunias alive with all the rain! ☔ It's raining again as we speak.

Thank you so much Gracie!! Don't be afraid to reapply Soil Acidifier to your hydrangeas! I reapplied twice this year and got some blue! 💙

I had a few Supertunia Lovie Dovie die from all the rain. I hope your Bubblegum hangs on. I've tried Bubblegum three years in a row and it never makes it past mid-June I thought I killed my rudbeckia last year, but it came back. It looks just like yours. I love the two tones. Maybe it just reseeded itself in the same spot. I'm happy to have flowers however it happens.

It's so interesting how some plants thrive and others don't make it! I'm glad to know I'm not the only one struggling with Rudbeckia! 😂 Maybe this year will be the year I get one to make it to next year! Thanks so much for watching and for your comments, Stacie!

I wonder if you keep “ losing” the rudebekia because it’s a biennial and not an an actual perennial?
@GrowRoots235 ай бұрын
That made me think for sure! But this species is definitely Rudbeckia Hirta, which is supposed to be perennial in zones 3-9. Even biennial plants would survive longer than one growing season. For me so far,they only have lasted from spring through late summer. I truly think it's the heat we get (110+ temps for a couple months) combined with the fact that my garden is prone to powdery mildew.

That vine is bindweed, awful stuff. It will take over, smothering everything around. It spreads by seed and roots.

Thank you for giving me it's name! Yes, it is definitely AWFUL and definitely smothers!! I pull all of them I see several times a week and it just comes back. But at least that keeps it from smothering my plants!!
