30 books is some going. Some people don't read that in a lifetime! Best wishes and happy reading.

My Dark Vanessa disturbed the heck out of me, and I’m glad you gave it a try! Aw, Goosebumbs takes me back. I wonder if R.L. Stine is still writing or writing as much. Great June wrap-up!

I just finished a megabook western. Great Read: The Travels of Jamie McPheeters. Highly recommend it as very entertaining coming of age book. Not lots of violence but good amount of humor.

I am generally a little hesitant around westerns, in the past they have been more miss than hit for me. But I started reading the Splatter Western series for June on the Range, and I am glad I did. The genre mash-ups make everything work for me! It actually inspired me to start a #splatterwestern reading project, to go through the whole series. There are 20 novels and novellas currently published (with 3 more coming before the end of 2024) as well as 4 one-sheet comics. I have managed to read 5 of them so far, along with the comics, and am tracking my progress on my channel. It was watching one of your earlier weekly wrap-ups about some of the westerns you had gone through that inspired me to once again jump in to the genre, so thanks!

I read The Border Legion too. It was ok, bit too long. Economics ! I've noticed you occassionally read books on that subject 🤔

I did read a Zane Grey, I was looking forward to it. Sadly,I didn't like it. I watched the Matt Helm movies with Dean Martin growing up. I always wanted to read one of the books. I have been looking affordable second hand ones, no luck so far. It sounds like they are a lot of fun.

I think the books are a bit more serious than the Dean Martin movies, but definitely worth a try

In all respect and genuine interest, how do you read 30 books a month? I've just recently been introduced to your channel, am enjoying it, and look forward to your videos and commentary. I love to read, have many books that I desperately want to get to, and make it one of my priorities, but I can never get to a number like that. I can tell that you immerse yourself in each book you read. I seriously, with respect, would like to know. Thank you for your possible consideration of my comment for a response.

Glad you’re enjoying the channel! I’ve made a couple of videos on this in the past, but essentially my 2 tips kind of contradict each other: 1) make time for focussed reading - no distractions, no phone nearby, just you and the book for a set amount of time so you can really get into it. 2) read whenever you can - make it easy to read whenever you have a moment spare - that could be just always having a book to hand or couple be using kindle app on your phone or whatever. Audiobooks are also a great way to get through more The other one would be to prioritise reading over other activities - don’t watch TV for example It’s also worth noting that this month I read a lot of shorter books and had a week’s holiday where pretty much all I did was read. Also, I’m kind of a freak 😂

@CriminOllyBlog Thank you ever so much for your very prompt and thoughtful response. I see that I could add a bit more reading time during "in between" moments of my days. I also have a passion for cinema, but my first love is books, and I suppose I need to make some semi-difficult choices if I want to get to all the books I daydream about. I appreciate you and your channel content. Thanks again and I look forward to more of your videos🙂
