So happy to have stumbled onto your channel, and become your 1000 subscriber 😁 My mum was born in Junee, we still have family living there. Even though I’m from Wollongong, my husband and I got married in Junee, in the same church my grandparents married in, in 1929. Jodie from the Gong 😁

I have never met such a friendly bunch of people in my life as the people of Junee.

Yeah I'm not sure. My family are from Junee, all established farms for generations. I'm visiting family at the moment and come from Sydney. I'm staying at the pub here, Junee hotel and everyone seems to think I'm from the jail. Not wanting to talk to me and stand offish. All because I'm in my 30's, have tattoos and never been seen before. I have zero criminal record. Typical small minded hick town.

@@Looking-great That's interesting. My experience has been completely different to yours (for the most part at least anyway). I was staying at one of my investment houses after the tenants moved out. The first time the bloke across the road ever met me, he lent me a fridge to use the whole time I stayed there, and that's just one example how I generally found the people out there to be like..

@@stevo54838 Yeah not all bad I meant. Yeah I was going to buy a house out there too around 12 years ago. They were going for around 100k. A nice little 2 bedroom cottage thing. Wish I did....

The railway divided the town in more ways than one. When WW2 finished, Catholic boys got their old railway jobs back in preference to the C of E boys like my dad.
