You're right. It's not actually true as Immigration of small numbers of South Asians to England began with the arrival of the East India Company to the Indian subcontinent around the end of the 16th century who settled throughout the United Kingdom. Jung Bahadur visited uk in 19th century. He may not have been the first person to visit Britain but he was the first ruler of south asian descent to visit Britain

Also Jung Bahadur wasn't actually the first nepali to set foot in Britain. It was a soldier named Motilal Singh who fought in the war between Nepal and britian in 1914 at the age of 19. He was captured in that war but eventually joined the British battalion where he learned English. He then immigrated to Calcutta and kept working with the British there. He then came to England lured by the prospect of becoming rich but things didn't go as he had hoped so. So he had to work as a sweeper in London's st Paul's churchyard for years until He met Jung Bahadur in 1950 when he was around 55.
