Jung Min said he wrote the lyrics to "Only Me" with his own emotions. if anyone's curious, just search "liezle's blog interesting jung min hot chili paper interview" (it's near the very end of the long interview). and if you compare the songs that Hyung Jun and Jung Min wrote, you'll notice this is more JM's style. "If You Cannot", "Do You Know", and even "Not Alone" have similar sentiments on separation.

I know a few people with advanced music degrees (way beyond mine!) and they don't consider any pop genres to be a valid artistic representation. I think that's narrow-minded. They also don't consider the artist, their experience, their lifestyles. Everyone has a voice and value, and I recognize and appreciate more every day. They don't have to like something to appreciate it's merit, and if they are like that, I think they still have some learning to do! LOL And this, like you, I love!

this song is so beautiful. i hope Jung Min's Korean, Japanese, and Mandarin albums always have ballads like this (and "If You Cannot" and "Do You Know?"). i'm not sure if it was Hyung Jun or Jung Min who wrote the lyrics (i've read both), but i know it is Jung Min's voice that really brings the words to life with his heartbreakingly expressive singing. it still makes me cry sometimes. It IS rather addictive... LOL Though I love music period, lots of different genres. (just look at my playlists! LOL) Besides, (thankfully! lol) I'm too busy with other things to spend too much time on Kpop alone. ...Hyun Joong once described Jung Min as "talkative, picky, and very sensitive"...and then he laughed. But sensitive is exactly what he writes... and he himself admits he has a hard time letting go of his feelings. Who doesn't? I think that's why we relate to this, hm? ^-^

SS501 are the best of the Kpop artists, in my book. There are other good acts (check out Eru sometime) but none quite like them, they are unique. I've got a BA degree in music&media production and performance, and they've got talent and a killer work ethic like nothing I've ever seen here-- another reason I love what they do so much.
