This song makes me think about when I first appreciated someone and slowly started to like them. He was an online friend who had his heart broken many times. He saw my poetry I posted and asked if i was okay and from that day on he continued to care for me and shape me into a stable person. On Valentine's I dm'd him and confessed and he woke up the next day and said he liked me back so we hit it off. Towards the end of the summer we barely communicated and I tried my best to keep our relationship together but we fell out of it. While I was crying myself to Love Alarm he messaged me that he wanted to end our relationship and said that we have different lifestyles so it doesn't feel right and I felt pain. So much pain. My birthday came around the corner and it was hard for me but I managed. Now I'm here and I guess I'm still hurt but wounds mend.

@@lisatrd thank you ! after almost a year of no talking she sent me a happy birthday message last month to me and i was so happy, i tried to drag the conversation out but i felt like i was the only one trying + i asked if she have any close friends now (bc of online learning i thought it would be difficult to make friends) and she said yes, i jokingly asked her to rate the level of closeness on a scale of 10 and she said 11. It was childish but something abt me not being her #1 is unsettling. Maybe it was jealousy. It hits me that the person that she text everyday over simple silly things isnt me anymore and that sadden me. I abruptly tried to end the conversation bc i didn't want her to know that i need her. But I will text a happy birthday message soon, her birthday is on the 23rd of this month ! :)
